what to say to someone who says skiboarding is the easyest thing

That reminds me about when I was in High School I played hockey instead of football. I am 6'6" 275lbs and never played football in HS. They use to mock me for it saying i was a whimp for playing a whimpy sport. Yea....the star lineman of the team was not mocking me anymore after I gave him a mild concussion after checking him into the boards during a roller hockey game we did for fun once. I also played rugby in the fall for a club team in Chicago and couldn't play football.

I say to each there own. Maybe you should tell mock those people mocking you for skiboarding. make fun of their poles or something.

Another good thing to say is "easy, sure, that just means there is more time to have fun and less to get frustrated trying to learn"

tell them to go land a huge 720 or go down waist deep powder on skiboards. then ask them how easy that was.

Yeah, tell em just try to land in the backseat on skiboards. You can ride out of most landings on skis with any skill at all, but if you land wrong on skiboards, you're gonna eat it.

I raced som skiers the othe day on the hill and whooped their ass on tanshos.

Also skiboarding is more fun.

I like the ability to rotate 180 and ski backwards...something that not many snow sports allow you to do. I was teaching my GF how to ride and i was skiing backwards the whole day basicly. I was able to teach her really quick having such a good vantage point.

I also like how every one looks at you when you skate by them when they are tripping over their snow boards or poleing with the skis. I also like how you can get into tight spots and turn on a friggin dime.

just gotta ask them to try it.....dont get stuck up..just tell them about the sport and the differences between you and snowlerbladers. About revel8 and the width and sometimes you can even get ppl to try them. Sometimes tho, you gotta rip off a skiboard and start beatin with the edges.:p

my friends are all real good skiers or real good snowboarders.... Im the only snowblader in the group (im pretty good with those)... and very soon, the only skiboarder - cant wait for them to arrive... :D

anyway, last season, when we got to the mountain and went for the rentals they were all saying:

"snowblades!? pleasseeee... get some real skis...
yeah right, you have short skis, get yourself some big ones. - that is not ski - you should learn how to go down first - want me to teach you the how tos? - of course you turn fast... but you cant go as fast as I go... "

and it continues...

I didnt need to say nothing special, I just said:

yes, they are small arent they?! :D with a big smile on my face.

well... after the first slope they changed a bit. :D

"OMG, you looked like you were flying - How you passed me so fast? - arent those 'things' suposed to be slower? - were you gliding? - how do those feel?"


well... you guys need to say nothing. just smile and wave.... smile and wave...

be proud.

they will understand each one at their time! but they will...

I usually saw one of two things if someone makes fun of my boards:

1. Your long skies are probably just making up for something else being shorter...

2. If skiboards are lame because they are easy to ride then why don't you go tape 2x4s to your feet and ride those, then you'd be reeeeeally cool.

Those are of course only used on those that I don't bother to educate on skiboards because I know they won't care, most people actually become interested in them once you tell them about skiboards.
