I am trying to decide what to buy. I am new to skiboarding and this would be my first season. I'm trying to decide between the Revolts and KTP's I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs. I've skied all my life but never wanted to snowboard (they drive me crazy when they all sit at the top of the hill putting on there binding). The reason I'm interested in skiboards is it looks extremely fun and the fact I don't need poles (damn things always getting in the way) also I like to go through glades and around trees. Not really into the terrain park but that might change. Any input would be great don't really see any skiblades in MI only have seen the Saloman snowblades and not to many of those either.

Well i can't make the decision for you, i can def give you the pros of each board after seeing them both.

Both boards feature amazing graphics....the KTPs are one of a kidn with there RED BASES and the Revolt Series of boards have beautiful top sheets and the cities have a neon green sidiewall that really stands out and is simply amazing....and the chickens have white sidewalls. The bases on both are also very very nice the cities are personally my favorite of the Revolt Series.

Now lets compare the rides....the 105cm model has been around since the beginning of Revel8 and is a proven size and tip/tail height. 105cm boards are amazing all mountain boards and are proven in powder, in the park, and on groomers.

The 101 KTP model is a super wide board that has amazing float in powder and crazy stabliity in park. The 101 probly has more of an inline feel than the revolt and has a tighter turning radius along with a lower tip height.

Good luck making up your mind.....i think the KTPs would probly be the best choice for you.

KTPs have been reviewed as great powder and transition into park boards...

I'm going to suggest the Revolts. As Ty pointed out, they are a proven design that just plain works well. You'll have different graphics to choose from, and with you skiing background, I think the slightly longer and thinner Revolts will work well for you.

I went with the KTPs and they are awesome. Great manueverabilty and stability with the extra width plus additional binding setting for riding powder. I have only had them on groomed runs with pack powder but judging from others' reviews they are great for powder and park as well. Although I don't think you can really go wrong with any of this years line-up.
