well here is a lil review of buggard mouse, the new Bent Films....film.

Disclaimer: Before I start i need to tell you that i absolutely loved it and i'm really biased towards it and forgive all and any faults.

I'm going to review it in bits.

Camera work/editing etc: This is where the film really, really excels. Bdub and the others who helped film and edit it, managed to make a really quirky, offbeat yet still accessable film. Bdubs originality of style really shone through, and the random parts such as poems and shots of landscape/walls/people standing out etc etc make the film very interesting to watch. If you don't watch it with an open mind you'll probably hate it though. For me it was a fresh change of endless shots of people doing amazing stuff, which is what you see on some videos. it shows a real display of progression to me.

One thing I would like to have seen is more creative angles. for example I saw a snowboarding film where they sat in the trees to film etc. I did love some of the angles though such as when brett conners and the dog and the snowboarder come over the small kicker in the trees and the camera is right in front before they turn. etc. A+

Riding shots: My only complaint here was that there was a lot of footage from the world cup, which i've seen a million times before, although, its still enoyable to watch every time. For people who haven't watched all the WSC vids though this won't make a differance. Liked the way it focused on differant riders accross the world with differant sections each. B

Trick tips: Ben speaks in a language that is all his own, filled with slang and the wierdest similes ive ever heard. Past that though, if you listen closely and understand it, I actually learnt a lot on the bits there were, esp about butters and fakie carving. Would have been nice to have some more though, but i suppose you can only do as much as the rescources you have let you. B+

Music: Loved it, loved it loved it loved it. A great mixture of blues, rock and roll and rap. Timber timbre is great music to ride to, i can definately reccomend his album. Id would have been cool to have latvian rap instead of french on the latvian section. The last tune on bdubs section fits so well, as does shingis. A*

Bonuses: Only a few, but the crash footage is not only humorous but useful, as you can study how they fall so as not to become injured. The random stuff, was random, but pretty funny. the guy riding a bike, was really wierd. and the WSC edit is always fun to watch even though i've seen it a lot. B, mianly for the crash footage.

etc: It's a little short i must admit, but ive watched it at least 20 times this week and i still love it.

Final wordssss: at Exclaim! I sell it for £12, and here £12 will buy you a tshirt, or.....most of a meal out, a cd..you get the picture. It's money well spent in my opinion even for its short length.

mad probs to ben agian for putting exclaim! in the film.

hope you enjoyed the review and enjoy the film, i definately reccomend it!!!

! much obliged you biased tobias butcher!

haha, thanks bro... like i said its a compliment that you wanted more duration! We wanted to set a standard and do it we had to cut out alot that wasnt setting pace with snowboarding and skiing today... very indepth review!

We set out with the intention of making a badass tricktips video as well as a videovideo that didnt get to bogged down by tricktips, so we`re bound to piss some people off being such flipfloppers and all....

love!
