Hey guys I just got my BWP w/bomber elite bindings TODAY and I got to say, it was pouring with snow over here and I rushed out with nothing but shorts and a tshirt on. I was exhilarated. anyway,
non release bindings. i'm 6'1 and 140 pounds. i'm 16, so excuse me for my weight difference.
is it true that the younger you are the more injury-prone you are? especially with my case?
Thanks,
hb

youll be fine on nonreleasables as long as you ski within your own limits and know how to fall.

There's another post about this, but I would personally say that wearing a brain bucket is a good idea. Even if you're confident enough in your riding to not wear one, are you confident in every single other person on the mountain to not come barreling into you?

I wear one because it keeps my ears warm and it's a great place to put stickers.

I've dislocated my knee before. Basically my leg went behind my head.

haha I'd love to but problem is I live all the way out in china and skiboarding is practically non-existant over here. wherever I go with my new babies all the locals are checkin them out. feels good I must admit.

I think the older you are, the longer your recovery time....:p

i got hit in the head with a baseball bat
and my finger bone was sticking out of my finger.
Those are 2 of my favorites although they both happened during a baseball game lol.

Skiboarding or non skiboarding????
I sliced my finger to the bone with an apple juice can.....
I have had nothing but thigh bruises and sprained wrists from skiboarding

I did a lot of research on the non-releaseable bindings before I committed to buying skiboards with them for myself and my kids. The lower leg/ankle injuries for skiboards with non-releasables and skis with releasables is comparable...HOWEVER, the ACL (knee) injuries with skiboards and non-releasables compared to traditional skis is considerably less, making skiboards much better for knee injury prone people.
With the data that I found, it seems surprising that there aren't more skiboard injuries because I find myself doing crazy things that I would never attempt on regular skis.

Its just skiing within your limits. Once you cross over that line and do some new stuff thats when you hurt yourself.:(
