here in Latvia, its snowing :) !!! some 3cm already, but its sooo wet, i think its not the winters starting, just some snow...winter is very near :D

didn't see the snow yet, but heard it got as thick as 10cm/4in at some places (and cars were literally dancing on roads with their summer tires on). but it was damn pretty chilly this morning. good i took my jagermeister scarf from shelf... it is soo close ;)

w00t! My Home resort (Northstar at Tahoe) is reporting 30" at the peak over the past 24 hours. and 18" at the base and still snowing!!!!

I'm guessing lifts will open by Monday, Hopefully my new boards will get here by then otherwise I'll be riding my same old junk.

i'm heading to tahoe in about a week and i was checking the mountains and none of them said they are going to open early because of this storm. beotches!

Yeah, but have you checked out the webcam for Northstar? Eveything is covered!!! One of my Mom's coworkers (she lives in Reno, NV) said he was at Boreal yesterday and they have 3 feet on the face runs. She didn't say whether the mountain was open or not, but I think Boreal usually opens the lifts pretty early because they are a smallish mountain.

I just checked and boreal is openeing the mountain tomorrow for the season, so that should have plenty of terrain for shredding. They had like 2 or 3 terrain parks last time I was there. Unfortunately that was my second day on skiboards and I gave myself a concussion, caught an edge trying to drop into the pipe and face planted on the flat....

Hey...Mammoth is open right now http://www.mammothmountain.com/ even the cali locals are open...Mountain high http://www.mthigh.com/ and Bear Mountain opens tomorrow...http://www.bearmtn.com/ So if you cant hit Tahoe G then Mammoth is open top to bottom.

It is coming soon i can feel it. My dad works for the mdta and they are already getting the trucks ready and the salt domes filled and ready to go. snow is coming. its not far away. now i am left to waiting and waiting till it comes. the waiting is the hard part

I hear ya kelli....waiting is the hardest part. I have snow 3' of snow local and 6' at Mammoth already and brand new boots and and the white dwarf video and I have to wait until next season to ride.:(

my mountain is opening friday. so that means ill be there friday night and all day saturday and sunday. cant wait, finals all this week and the a weekend of riding.
