snowboard set-up

I'm curious to try a snowboard set-up on skiboards...So just out of curiosity I'll ask a few questions before doing anything stupid:

-Advantages?
-Disadvantages?
-What kind of bindings to mount?
-What kind of boots to use?
-How to mount the bindings?

and most important...

-Is it a smart thing to do...?

I have snowboard bindings on one of my pairs of boards. I'd only reccomend it for the street, it doesn't really have enough support for regular mountain use. The only reason I'd reccomend it is if you're trying to do souls, other than that, theres no real advantage that i can find.

also Snowboard boots and Bindings tend to wear down faster then skibindings and boots.
