Hello there everyone!!!

Remember me? I know it’s been a while huh? Well I just wanted to keep in touch with you all and let you know what’s been going on and why I have not been around much or launched Venom yet. It has been a really hard year and a lot of bad things have happened. The reason I have been so out of touch with you all is because I was diagnosed with “Testicular cancer” The past 9 months or so have been a pretty major fight for life with surgeries and radiation therapy. I got pretty sick from the radiation so trying to do anything but lie in bed and keep my food down was a major chore. Thank God I am all done with that stuff now and everything seems to be going okay. I was one of the lucky ones I’m told. I just keep having lots of blood tests and CT scans every month to make sure that nothing comes back. So for now I am in full remission but for the next 5 years they will monitor me pretty close I guess just to make sure that I am completely out of the woods. I am told the radiation pretty much kicked the crap out of my immune system so the doctors keep a close watch on me. So for now things are put on hold for obvious reasons but I wanted you all to know that I didn’t just bail out on you or forget about Venom. I look so forward to getting back very soon and I will try to pop in every now and again. Our love for skiboarding is the reason I wanted to start this company in the first place and it continues to be my passion. Keeping skiboarding on the cutting edge and progressing means we must all think big and dream big coming up with new ideas. Big props to Mix industries and their products. The more manufacturers we have out there the more our sport will progress. As long as we support them all that is. More companies also means more sponsorship for more events. Hopefully I will be back out on the slopes with you soon and moving forward. I have heard rumors about Canon going out of business. I this true?

ONE LAST THING!!!!

I want to urge all the guys out there to get checked by your doctor for TC. Studies show that this disease has become VERY common in males 18 to 35. The sooner you find out the better chance you have of staying alive. There are usually no symptoms (hence the name “Silent killer”) and it spreads very quickly!! So do youself a favor GET CHECKED!!! Anyway….I hope you have all been well and stay well and I will try to get back on soon. If you have any questions for me on Venom or on TC feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!! AND IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK!!!

Thanks guys...it sure is good to be back. Well sort of back anyway. Just need lots of rest these days. I am only 32 but there are a lot younger people than me getting it and believe me it sucks..I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. Now I just want to move on and get Venom going finally. Glad to hear Canon is okay though. We can't lose any skiboard companies anymore.

Here is a good link fot more info on TC http://tcrc.acor.org/

Doing this could save your life. Ask your girlfriends for help if you need it. ;)

The TCRC recommends following these steps every month (keep in mind that the point is not to find something wrong, it is to learn what everything feels like so that you will know if something changes):

* Stand in front of a mirror. Check for any swelling on the scrotal skin.

* Examine each testicle with both hands. Place the index and middle fingers under the testicle with the thumbs placed on top. Roll the testicle gently between the thumbs and fingers -- you shouldn't feel any pain when doing the exam. Don't be alarmed if one testicle seems slightly larger than the other, that's normal.

* Find the epididymis, the soft, tubelike structure behind the testicle that collects and carries sperm. If you are familiar with this structure, you won't mistake it for a suspicious lump. Cancerous lumps usually are found on the sides of the testicle but can also show up on the front. Lumps on the epididymis are not cancerous.

* If you find a lump on your testicle, see a doctor, preferably a urologist, right away. The abnormality may not be cancer, it may just be an infection. But if it is testicular cancer, it will spread if it is not stopped by treatment. Waiting and hoping will not fix anything. Please note that free floating lumps in the scrotum that are not attached in any way to a testicle are not testicular cancer. When in doubt, get it checked out - if only for peace of mind!

Yes dude, thats awesome

I found a lump about 3 weeks ago and I hit my doctor up as soon as i found it, i've got an ultra sound on the go on November 3rd! the doctor seemed optomistic about it, so hopefully everything is ok.

Make sure you check your little guys boys! the earlier the better
