Been digging around with Google, and and I've found lots of stuff about sintered vs. extruded bases, but I'm not really sure what exactly semi-sintered means. I just bought a pair of SnowJam 99s, and they have semi-sintered bases.
Anyone know? Want to share your wisdom?

Semi-sintered usually means that the marketing department has been at work again - there is no such thing but it sounds better than "Extruded" which is what it actually is. Sintered base material holds wax much better than extruded and adds about 4% to the manufacturing cost of a pair of boards. On the negative side, sintered material is harder to repair than extruded.
