So Saturday I hit up Sierra at Tahoe for openeing day and had a blast, they had 5 lifts open and a good number of runs. Even though they have over 3 feet of snow at the top, some of the runs were definately early season conditions with spots of exposed terrain and the Black Diamonds looked like boulder fields.

Anyways, I spent the larger part of the day riding fakie in front of my GF while I taught her how to carve a turn and do a good hockey stop. Although I did get a few chances to get a wee bit of air in the begginer's terrain park and even got the balls to hit a box, though I bailed the landing and stuffed my shoulder.

Next weekend me and my buddies are going to be at Sierra again and hopefully there will be at least one more highspeed quad open to keep the lines short. If any of yall is going to be in the Sierras next weekend drop me a PM and you can come shred with us and/or party in Reno friday/saturday night.

Anyways, I'm interested if anybody else has any good early season stories... Any goals for progression this year? I really wanna get solid on my 180's and 360's and at least get the guts up to
ttempt a flip or a misty...

Oh yeah, almost forgot, the Line 98's I got on ebay worked out great. I'm not sure what model/year they are exactly, but they came mounted with the original style FF Pro bindings and felt really solid for carving and stomping. My buddy was flossing his new Fischer WebXL's mounted with Bomber elites and I stuck my GF on a newish pair of SnoJam 75's with Canon TD-1's.. It was crazy getting ready to head up I should have taken a picture of the 5 sets of snowboards I had in my living room at one point while we were trying to figure out what setup to stick my GF on. hehe Good times.
The 98's were definately faster than the old skool Groove Patriot 75's I had been riding for the past few seasons, but it seems like the added length made them a little more ackward when standing in the lift lines, but i'm sure I'll get over that.

Shit, I'm rambling now, but just in case anyone wants to give it a try themselves, my buddy polished his Bomber Elites and they look totally bad ass. Definately worth the effort if anyone is looking for a little bling to add to their boards.
