I'm really hoping to get solid on my 180's and 360's and realy want to land a flip trick of some sort, perhaps a misty....

Also I really want to get alot more comfortable with getting air so I can try some of the big features in the park this year.

i want my brand of skiboards to hit markets next
year...so thats more of a next year goal..so it would
have to be is hit a shit load of comps. and to perfect
the trick "cork screw"...almost had it last year but got
hurt due to a spleen rupture....

tommy
11-05-2004, 06:34 AM

11-05-2004, 01:41 PM
to me its like - 2000km to get there with car, its a diesel power+food+sleep+lift===aproximetly 260 Ls :D ok=its about 600$ and its about 255 Uk money(pounds) !

but if we look to money we got here for doin job its normaly 400-600 $ per month -

its not liek in Uk, where u can get some 10 per hour!

in Latvia all celery is for 1 month! i think this trip is expencive more to me than to Uk or Us ppl! its 100%!

(if we see how much u get and how much u pay)

money...money...money...shiit..damn!

tommy
11-05-2004, 01:49 PM
haha 10 yeh i dont know what the average is, i know my sister gets 30k (GBP) a year my brother gets 52k (GRP) and my other brother gets 130k (GRP) a year i dont know how that compares to your sallarys.

matthew
11-06-2004, 06:59 AM
yep 1000 is way to much for me i only made like 1500 all winter last year so i dont think i could make it cause i need new equipment this year new boots ALP's might get the BWP's and looking for a pair of weps. so thats around 800-900 there. + i might be going to the B.C. trip and any other trips that get planed so ill be poor.

maybe next year

Allz, from what you say it's obvious that numerically Latvia has lower incomes, but you can't even try to compare the salaries to UK and US... There's factors to consider such as the actual 'cost of life' in both countries, the fact that UK and US surely have a less centrally-planned economic government policy, and that vital utilities such as education and healthcare aren't in most cases freely provided...

Kelli

marcolo you are right about that and also if you add in that america has a high inflation right now, becuase we have over produced the amount of paper money and we dont have species on the paper to back it up which causes inflation.

And furtherly, the dollar is quite low at the moment, which is an obvious difficulty for citizens, as imports result to be more expesive (for example participating to our contest is quite difficult for you Americans because of the dollar weakness / Euro 'strength').

On the other hand, your national firms are better off from this situation, once again because of the low dollar which allows prices of your exports to be more attractive to foreigners.

The reason for your this situation and your difficulties...? Obviously your political/economic administration, which prefers to aid firms and boost the economy as a whole rather than care about individuals...

Strangely however, on the 2nd November I noticed that people in your country don't seem to care much about their monetary troubles ;)

Ok enough politics...let's get back to talking about something more serious such as skiboarding...

sup? havent been on here in a long time. i kinda forgot about it. neways, my goals for this year is mostly style n court knows this cuz my style SUCKS! i wana throw some bigger tricks in the half pipe n try to hit a few more tables. but one of my main goals is to 540. i dont care what its off but i could probably hit it around midseason. and me and court are gona be filming alot more this year. our friend got a handycam this year (finally) so we're probably gona be comin out with like 45 minute movies n shit like that. its gona be awesome. and i plan to have the usc site up by next friday. www.ubductioncrew.com so look for that. alright im out so peace out n pray for snow!!!

yes Marco, i know they(uk and usa) pay more for food or drinks and living than here in Latvia, but if we count the money which is in their pocket after all payments, then they have some 5time more than we here!

we cant go by plain to trips, we cant go to holidays where ever we want! i am telling about midle range ppl here, yes-there is millionares, there is rich ppl ..but u cant say that we have cheaper food and all other thing, that we have money for trips and so...

we need to be smart to get money for trips...:D, not all ppl can do it!--like me,i am not working at all,but i know how money is going in out and all that, i know how to buy, where to buy,and i can make money somewhere without big work, so, thanks god i can do that---and THANKS god i can go to Italy trip--thats soooo goood thing man! i am happy already! ;)

peace

tommy
11-14-2004, 09:14 AM
how do you do a normal misty in a half pipe? surely that doesnt work?

matthew
11-14-2004, 10:29 AM

tommy
11-14-2004, 10:32 AM
just to let everyone know a misty is a front flip 540 , not a front flip 180. I made that mistake for 2 years in rollerblading, But a misty is a front flip 540.

tommy
11-14-2004, 10:32 AM
ive never seen a misty done in a pipe, ive seen a barani (front flip 180) on skates but never a full on misty.
