Damn...Japan

I knew skiboarding was big in Japan but I didn't know it was this big...

Someone posted Ethan's Mt. Creek Video (http://www.skiboardsonline.com/images/gallery/events/2004mtcreek/ethan/Ethan_Segment.wmv) on a Japanese message board two days ago and since then 5,135 visitors have downloaded it. Damn, i'm amazed. Although i'm not sure the message board was for skiboarding because it was in Japanese but i'm assuming it was.

yup, i was searching web few days ago, and i found some web pages...damn, Japan skiboarding got magazines, new videos, but so much..they are big and so much(in skiboarding)! maybe :D

THey know that there's more of a market there for skiboarding so they produce a lot more for them.

Japan is like a whole other world to us, you never know whats happening there like whats big whats not. well it seems that way anyway.If only people could se how big it was there then hopefully it would get bigger everywhere else.

skiboarding in japan is so much bigger than the us, although i dont think it compares to skiing in popularity. youd never see a skiboarder on a billboard or anything like that. They have one skiboard specific magazine that has one issue a year and is full of instructions and less pictures.

skiboarding is HUGE!!!! in japan man. They even have indoor warehouse places to ride all year I think. With rails and kickers and stuff. The team IBIS site used to have a bunch of clips of them riding in it. Its way crazy how popular it is over there.

we have 2 of those....... but we dont have any mountains, and they cost stupid amounts of money to go to, in USD it would be 60 USD for 2 hours.

yeh i know if you went for 4 hours you could get a ski pass at real mountains for a week.... its hard to go there often because it costs so much.

Thanks for the info. Keep an eye on the forum for trips to mt. Creek. we're planning on meeting up with adam lynam, kirk and others a few times this season at creek.
