I used to have a pair of the all blue Spruce 120s and had the risers mounted directly to the boards. When I removed the risers, there was a yellowish discoloration left on the boards. I was able sell them last season even with the stains. Now I noticed the same thing on my blue & white Spruce 120s coming from directly mounting the riser. It even shows up from the powder plate. I've tried Soft Scrub w/bleach and Goof Off to try and get the yellow stains off but with no luck. Anyone else experience this and know how to remove the stains?

Thanks.

I don't believe it's a stain. I think the neoprene from the riser is reacting with the topsheet causing a discoloration. The only way around it is to get the new Riser 2.0, no neoprene.

Ok, but it happens with the powder plate also.

its probably just a lack of uv light hitting that area. maybe take it off when you aren't riding next time if it really bothers you.

Thanks for the advice, but that would be a pain in the ass, first removing the bindings and then the powder plates. So it sounds like once the discoloration is there it's there for life.

I have that stain on mine. Imagine it like seasoning on a fine cutting board. Get's better with use.

Actually its from oxygen and man made snow .The water that gets under the binding will evaperate with a dif color with light . . the freezing agaent they use doesnt hurt anything but can discolor. Its just the way it works. Dont worry it wont warp or make the boards ride dif. Trust me, I have been riding for 11 years and have seen just about everything that a skiboard can do. If some one says something just tell them it will happen over time,. But faster with relesables.
Rip it and never look back.
