This may be a dumb question but....
I am extremely bored at the moment and this just popped into my head for some reason...
Why couldn't you just take an old pair of skis and cut them right before and after the bindings, then drill holes to match up with the skiboard mounting holes...get the appropriate sized bolts and bolt the plate onto the skiboards?
I mean theoretically it seems like it would work, and I'm sure there is a reason why this hasn't been done for those who wanted releaseable bindings. I just can't seem to figure out why other than the posibility of flex..hence the reason I assume skiboard companies didn't just mount ski bindings to their boards to begin with.
Merely by looks comparison alone though, I don't see much difference between say a spruce riser and a cut off pair of old skis.
I'm sure there's a reason, I just can't seem to figure it out....
