Getting to meet a great group of people with a passion for skiboarding is something we do not want to miss. And we are also looking forward to learning from the pros and the scenery.

Also like the idea of an annual event at different resorts.

BTW: We need to get a group picture of us dominating the lift loading area and a ski rack. How often can that happen?

Back in school, I was an ag major and we were always up to no good. We had an "official" Agriculture Club but were forbidden from activities we enjoyed (drinking) at club functions by the chairman of the ag. dept., who was a good guy but a strict fellow.

We came up with a scheme where the "official" ag club function would end at a specific time, say 8:30 or 9 pm, the faculty would leave (at least some of them) and a totally separate organization would take over, the Friends of Agriculture (FOA). We were sort of non-conformists and never called our get-togethers "parties", we always called them "shin-digs".

For the group's consideration, I propose we call our informal bunch the "Friends of Skiboarding" and our event the "Shin-Dig", "FOS Annual Shin-Dig", "FOS Tahoe Shin-Dig", whatever.

I was thinking about winterfest , but because the Lake tahoe winterfest is the name of the big lake tahoe gay and lesbian get together the following week that we might want a different name ...

Well, tell you what, we'll do our best to keep an annual to biannual trip somewhere different. We'll see how long we can do it, I don't mind getting the ball rolling and stuff either.

hey matt bring your skiboards to Iraq i seen some guys use a hummvee a snowboard and a water ski rope to have some fun while out that way.
not the one i seen in the past but i cant seem to find it..

I hope this doen't make other folks think thisl, But every time I read or see "Shredfest" I think of shredded pork sandwiches and feasting on them!! LOL!!!!! :D yes I am a goober:p

Can we do a silohette of a skiboarder or just the skiboards themselves on the T-Shirt? Maybe upper pocket or on the back and have it say something simple too?

The font and look is very retro, which is popular these days.

Another option is long sleeve shirts and we can put writing on the sleeves... kind of the SBOL long sleeve they have.

we can do all of that... I was just trying to keep it simple for whoever is printing these... the more we add (print locations: front chest, pocket, back, sleeves; colors, etc) the more expensive they are to produce.

I don't have a connection to get these printed... well actually I do, but I don't have the time to manage it all.

I can design everything but someone else will have to print them up most likely... of course we have about a year so things may change between now and then.

Shims had offered to print them up.. I think he did, and he'll know how much to charge too.. OR maybe SBOL, Greco has a connection for us to use once we finalize the shirt.

Same problems here in UK and everything else too - electric, gas, food - its all spiralling up! Was hoping to afford to go to US/Canada next season, but I might not even afford a trip to in Europe the way things are going! Its all doom and gloom atm :(

Yep, funds are tight all over, lets hope it gets Better SOOOON! and for our upcoming Ski Season so all can go to TAHOE! And, yep, still planning on going with the plans remaining as is.
