'Normal' ski boots dont seem to agree with me ( major pain etc ), after some reviewing am very keen to try & get my feet in a pair of Rossignol soft light 3's...........They arent easy to come by but have found some I can mail order. Is it worth the risk of buying a boot without trying ( its been suggested that with these boots you should be okay).
I,m a uk 8 1/2 on my right foot & closer to a UK 9 on the other , do you guys think the Mondo point 27.5 would be the size to go for?
Any advise appriciated

I ordered a pair from the 'Ski and Board Discount Warehouse', via their ebay shop.
Admittedly, there are several warning flags right there: Buying boots without trying them, buying online, and... ebay.
The risk seems to have paid off, though - I haven't had a chance to skiboard in the boots yet, but after wearing them in for a few hours, they seem to be fine. The people who run the shop were very helpful and professional, have a returns policy (in case they don't fit), and I only paid £60 for a brand new pair of boots.
If they've got any left, it's probably worth chancing it.

Scribbler (AJ),
thats where I am looking to buy.............can you comment on your 'normal' uk foot size & the mondo point size of the boot. What I,m trying to find out is do these boots come up, small, okay or large ( if you know what I mean!!).
Cheers

Mitchell;
I am a UK size 8 in one foot, and a little more in the other, with a REALLY wide fitting (H+)
I ordered the size 8 boot (which the ebay shop says is mn 27, but I think is the mn 27.5 you are talking about). They were pretty tight when I first put them on, with several 'hotspots', but now I've worn them in slightly the fit feels great - lots of support, but not tight around the toes when standing comfortably.
Health warning: I haven't taken these out of a pair of boards yet, so I might change my mind about the fit after a days skiboarding.
The inners are 'comfort fit', and are pretty chunky. I think I could get away with having slightly longer feet if mine weren't so wide, so if you've got slim feet then these boots might suit you.
The ebay store does allow returns if you do 'buy it now' (they have to by law), so if you don't have wide feet, I'd order the mn27.5 boots first, and swap them for the larger size if you really struggle with them. The inners are screwed to the shells, but <in extremis> it shouldn't be too hard to swap it for a thinner, or even a moulded liner.
Hope thay helps you - you've got a pretty tricky foot size to deal with, so good luck! I personally wouldn't have taken the risk if this wasn't the only way to get hold of them.
