Any of y'all live or ride at Jay Peak? how about anywhere in VT? Jay opened today. Yeah, one trail. But it's real snow! If anyone is planning a trip here, drop me an email.

It's well worth the trip. Even when the snow isn't fresh, you can find many pow stashes (if you know where to go) from the stuff that sticks in the trees and gets broken up by the wind.
So am I the only Vermonter on here? I know we have some folks just north of me, but I'm not sure if anyone heads in this direction.

YA I go to Jay Peak every year in early March. Last year I went twice, I could never go to Jay too many times. I love the glades especially timbuktu, everglade, and deliverence.

The whole mountain is sick. There's no place you can't ride. The face where Tuckerman's is can be a nightmare though without good snow coverage but it's so worth it. There are so many powder stashes that go untouched even on busy days. As I said last season in this post, anytime y'all are headed this way, contact me. I'm there almost every day.

Is that the chute that has the 6 foot boulder drop cause that sounds so sick...it's amazing that I haven't been there before by the looks of all the glades with my name bein TreeLover and all...do you think that I can cover all the best stuff on the mtn in one day or should I really take at least 2?

Is one day ever really enough? The thing about Jay that's nice is when you're done exploring the officially marked trails you can also go in-between them anytime you'd like. The whole mountain is open for use. You can even go out of bounds with out getting hollered at. Of course you pay for your own rescue past the rope, but it's YOUR choice.
Tuckerman's is on the front face and chock full of rocks.
I think what you're talking about is the boulder on Deliverance. There's a boulder close to the top of the trail. I think it's more than 6'.

Yea, I think I am thinking of Deliverance...that's really great that they have an "open mtn" policy...I spend most of my time at other resorts on closed trails and non-trails looking for those stashes, I've never gotten caught but I've come close...it would be really nice to just enjoy whatever you want on the mtn and not worry about getting your ticket revoked!

Jay is so relaxed. That mountain keeps me living up here.
