So I bought a pair of Line Five-Os a couple years ago to play with and I finally gave up on my skiis altogether and sold them this fall. So now I guess it's time to upgrade my skiboard setup. A few questions as I go about this:

I've currently got a pair of Lange GX9 boots. I used to race, so they've got a "poured into cement" kind of feel when I've got them on and are really a bit too small for comfort with all day skiboarding. So I'm looking at hard shell snowboard boots. The full Thermo liners on the DeeLuxe boots on this site seem nice, but I've had bad experiences with those toothed strap mechanisms on past ski boots. Anybody have any particularly good or bad things to say about the implementation on these models? I'm not able to find much out there about other brands other than that Head does make a few models. Anyone have any experience with any other manufacturers?

Since I'm coming out of skiing the idea of a non-release binding is a bit on the frightening side to me and I've actually had a couple close calls on my boards. So I'm looking for some sort of release binding system. I was looking at the Spruce Mtn Riser, but of course those won't work with snowboard boots if I end up going that route. The Miller Revolution Z Interface looks interesting, but it worries me that SBOL used to carry it but no longer does. Can anyone tell me why it was discontinued?

I'd also like to have the convenience of a step in binding. Is the Z Interface durable enough to disconnect it and walk around with my bindings still attached to my boots in the base lodge? Or is it really only designed for snowboarders who need to disconnect a boot for the lift? If that's the case, is it possible to retrofit the Bomber Elite bindings on this site with the Intec step-in kit for the TD-1 or TD-2 sold at bomberonline? Or would the TD step-in bindings be a good binding for use on skiboards?

Geez, this got long fast. Thanks to anyone who actually read this far. Even more thanks to anyone who can help me with any of this.

why don't you give me a call at 888.819.2492 that would probably be the best way to answer all your questions and follow up questions from those answers :)
