Well today is a great day. One simple little thing made my day, Maruchan Instant Lunches (Ramen).

This may seem like a thread I did last year around this time, but no, this time last year I had not skiboarded before. This year ramen means so much more to me, it means that winter is only about 2 and a half months away. So I begin the countdown at 75 days.
Is this some kind of tradition you have? Or is it a seasonal snack kind of thing that they only bring out at this time of year?
Sorry, I have no idea what a Ramen lunch is... but am genuinely interested in strange rituals people have. Particularly ones leading up to the winter season.

I just eat ramen when I'm in school on my days off. Basically what ramen is is instant noodles with a flavoring and some dehydrated vegies, you boil some water and pour it in with the noodles. Basically it comes out to be the best possible lunch out there just because it meshes convieneice and great flavor togeather in one great package. All that ramen really tells me is that I am eating warm foods again and that means it is getting cooler outside. It is more of an instinctive thing than a ritual or tradition. My body says, "hey you need to eat something warm" so I do and I realize that what I live for is close than I once immagined.
Ah. Like Super Noodles or summick.
I know what you mean about warm food though; when I start drinking a hot chocolate before turning in that's when I know its winter. Of course... this is the UK we're talking about here so it can easily be June when the chocolate drinking starts.
