my broken ankle

well everyone who cares....

the ankle is coming along nicely...
i have some good news,
i got an MRI last week, to check on my ligiments, which have been giving me more trouble than the break itself,
and the report shows that i have torn ligiments, but they will heal on their own, no surgery necessary. (great news)
so this means my healing time is about cut in half.
i was planning on not riding at all this season, with the way things were going, but with the positive MRI report and great x-rays, it looks like i may be back in late jan. early feb.... so at least i should be able to get on the snow this season.
at the current time, im still on crutches but i am able to weight bear a little, which is good, id say im at about 40 percent, a big improvement from 0 % 3 weeks ago.
so keep my broken ass leg in your thoughts and i hope to see some of you this season... hopefully at the bentfilms event in march!!!!

that's great news adam. i feel your pain man. i've got the worst ankles ever, if i look at them wrong they sprain...too much basketball. just be thankfull it's not your knee, i know i am.

so I just came back form the doctor today..... thats right i messed up my ankle as well.

out look is ok, lots of swelling, but theres no break. i have a little chunk of bone floating around in my ankle to match the one i have in my heel. the doc said he wont do anything about it, cause its not causing me any pain. my tibula seperated from my foot, and the tendons 'should' heal soon, and if they dont heal right i may need a pin in there, but its a slim chance.

I go see the orthopedic surgeon in a week to get the final diagnosis!

lots of improvments today, i put some weight on it, and it didnt hurt, basically no pain, so i assume its just a gnarly sprain
