I suggest you guys film as best as possible and keep it all for the upcoming Flick from Tip2Tip/Anubis.
if its worth it it'll make a complete section for the comp otherwise extra footage...

No i hav't sent anything, I think tommy tried something out but didn't get a reply.
Problem is the event isn't 'official' enough to be televised...Here in Italy we rarely see snowboarding in TV, doubt we'll ever see skiboarding.

ok well, here in england we have the extreme sports channel i suspect alot of you get it aswell, but skiboarding on it??? i dont think theyve even heard of it, theres ahell alota snowboarding on there tho and skateboarding... grrr evil sports. ner im joking. ive emailed loads of companys about everything, like i emailed extreme asking for them to film it but no reply. asked espn to bring back skiboarding in the xgames but no reply, asked salomon to make real skiboards and have a pro team and help make it big but no reply. you can se where im going from this, no big company (not all big companys) really wants anything to do with something so small because theres no money involved and thats all they care about. (that maybe a bit biased) (yeh i think it is)

oh, i'm sorry. i thought it was you marco. but i got your point tommy :(
Hey tommy, skiboarding has actually been on the extreme channel here in the UK. A couple of Boomer's FrontSide movies were on a few years back, I think it was SB1 and Two Planker Knuckle Draggers, but it's true that there's been no skiboarding for quite a long time. Also, Extreme actually film very few, if any, of the movies they show, they just buy them off production companies and stuff. As for trying to get big companies to sponsor the event, your best bet is probably Matt, head of Line UK. He's a really good guy and until recently Line had a couple of skiboarders on the pro team because it took alot longer for Line to be associated with quality skis in the UK so they had to keep pushing the skiboarding until recently, plus it was skiboarding that got Matt to persuade Jay Levinthal to let him bring Line over to the UK. Im not saying he will definitely give any sponsorship or anything but he might be able to help out in some way and unlike with a big company like Salomon (where you can guarantee that any email you send will end up in some £10,000 a year secretary's inbox and from there deleted immediately) you know the email will go straight to him. He's probably pretty busy at the moment but I'm pretty sure he'll get back to you. I think his email is matt@lineskis.co.uk but if that doesn't work HQ@lineskis.co.uk will get either to him personally or one of the other guys who help him manage it all. Good luck.
