Found this video of what seems to be aggressive skate boots with some homemade frame for winter. Not at all effective, but made me laugh some.

I used to see these all the time in the mid 90's up at Searchmont...

Those things look soo sketchy. If I really wanted skates that bad I'd create a UFS to 4x4 adaptor and throw my skates on some 75-85cm boards. would be a lot more stable.

I actually did just that with the exact same boots he has in the video .. Salomon Aaron Feinberg pros. and I have to say.... I was not stable in the slightest. Skate boots just have absolutely none of the support you need to actually turn or control yourself. When I was making them, I thought it was the greatest idea... have the comfort of skates while skiboaring. But it failed terribly, I looked just like that, and I couldn't even really skate through my yard covered in snow.
