This evening I finally got to finish all work on my new ski boots. It was an outstanding experience that all should consider. Work started on the boots and lasted about 2 1/2 hours. Everything from a flexible Dremel type tool with these bulb type attachments was used to shave out the toe box and relax the lean in the back to this weird balloon thing and common hair dryer was used to custom fit the boots to my feet before moving onto the liners. The liners were of course heat molded and then additional padding was added to both cover what amounts to be bone spurs and fill in holes above them. Fallout from having the bottom half of my right leg crushed in a bike vs car some years back. Never forget that one. I called the ambulance from the gutter the asshole left me in as he drove away. My bike laid in the street while I looked down at my foot and seen my heel. The foot was not actually attached anymore. Only skin kept it from landing somewhere without the rest of me. Anyway, there was no charge for labor whatsoever. The guy was beyond professional, beyond knowledgeable and basically worked his ass off for well over 2 hours and in the end I just shook hands, picked up my boots and walked out with the only charge being for the liners. I wanted to wear the boots out of the stoor. They now fit that well.
