I spent a long time deciding to pre-order Mix Wannamaker Pro boards but with my holiday looming I am considering going for something else.
What would be the closest match to these that is readily available?

Cool! Just a couple of qn's if you don't mind...
Are these boards good? (as good as Mix claim their boards are going to be!)
Would you be able to supply two pairs?
How much are they with no bindings?
How much for shipping to the UK?
Cheers,
B.

we can't sell them with no bindings. since there are practically no pairs left for sale in the world and we don't make much profit when we sell boards without bindings we can't do it. (not that we make much profit when we sell them with bindings but hey we have to stay in business).
for prices with bindings check our our brinton page.
the Brinton's are great boards. i've been riding them for years and they were my favorite boards up until i rode the ALP's.
shipping to the UK is about $56.00US for one pair of boards and bindings.
i don't know about two pairs, i'll need to think about it.

The Gunderson’s are really great sticks. I've been riding them for a few years and I have yet to find something they can't do. Granted I haven't tried the ALP's yet, but for now I'm glad to have my Gunderson's.

It sucks we are having to make these decisions and Mix is leaving us all in the dark.
Some communication would be nice, I even emailed them direct with no reponse. :(

Well...both me and my mate who I'm skiboarding with this year need to get some boards...
BG pros are seemingly impossible to get apart from maybe one pair with bindings from this site. I don't need bindings as I will be using Spruce mountain risers. Therefore, the cost after import tax on just one pair of these boards is too much (when I will be simply discarding the bindings they come with!)
So....without Mix what choice do I have...looks like it may have to be Line Pro's at this rate!

Within weeks is all well and good but I'm off skiing at the beginning of Jan. I have 2 trips this year, the other is at the end of Jan.
Living in the UK it now looks as though I have no chance of getting boards from Mix before I go. I'm sure they will be wicked but I can't see how I will be riding them (not on my first trip anyhow).
If I have to buy other boards I may not be able to afford a pair of Mix as well for my second trip.
Not havin a go or anything but an actual date would be useful so I could at least work out what to do!

it's very possible we will have a bunch of ALP's this week. I'm not sure if you have preordered them from us but if you haven't you should as soon as possible to get in line. you can always cancel the preorder at anytime so there is no risk.

The problem I have is this...Tommee says that he is getting Mix boards in to supply to the UK. I am holding off ordering from SBOL at the moment because the price will be so high after tax etc.
The total cost if I order from the US with shipping and tax will be around £300 which is like $560!!! Ouch!! (for WMP's with risers - and I need 2 pairs - thats over $1100!).
I am still really tempted to order from SBOL however as there is no sign of Mix boards in the UK and no mention of any date.
I never thought that buying skiboards would be so stressful!!

benjy you will recieve them quicker from greco as he placed a bigger order than me so he gets the boards first, and it will be about 220 pound after everything i think thats right. so you can go ahead and order from greco if you need them like reallly!!!! soon.
(hahaha you could sue mix for stress related stuff) (im joking please dont do it)

Benjy_a,
I think your math is a little off. If you ordered two pairs of BWP's with Spruce Risers/Bindings/Leashes including shipping to the UK it would only be $861.71 which is about 443.78 GBP Total ($740.00 for boards/bindings + $121.71 for shipping) and since you're ordering two pairs i'll take $31.71 off and your total would be $830.00 or 427.46 GBP.

I was working it out as follows (WMP's with brakes)
($415 + $68.41) X 2 = $966.82 = £498
£498 + VAT (@17.5%) = £585 = $1,136!!
$830 is, with the dreaded VAT that will be just over £500 which is about $1000.
What will be the total for 2 pairs with brakes?
Cheers,
B.

we're getting really low on the wide brakes, we may have only two pairs left. for brakes just add $45 per pair. contact me on private message so we can discuss VAT.

Ok, sounds good to me...so if I put the pre-order through now, can you make sure I get those brakes?
Ben.

ben VAT is really weird honestly i think you need a degree to understand it, because sometimes stuff comes through and i dont pay a thing and other times i do, so i just go with the flow now.

Well I've done it...2 pairs ordered...

Benjy, from my experience, you made 1 GREAT choice, actually 2. First is dealing with Greco. He is a super nice guy, even though i met him for like 4 minutes once, I do know that he care's about EVERY ONE OF HIS CUSTOMERS. And of course the second choice you made that was a good one was going with Mix. Oh yea and the good choice is going with Spruce Risers, excellent bindings:p

I just had a thought...is there any way the free videos can be sent in PAL format rather than NTSC as it will be tricky to watch them otherwise...

i think SB2 is the only video tape we have in PAL format but if you check each video page if we have it in PAL it will be an option.
