I was checkin out their site, and apparently you have to buy some stupid park pass to go in the park now.

I think it's only $5.

Greco

yeah, 5 bucks, you only need it for the main park and you get it on top of the hill next to the park. no worries.

I also did a quick search on MSN yellow pages...
I found about 17 listings within 9 miles of there.

Motel / Hotel / Shack Listings (http://yellowpages.superpages.com/listings.jsp?SRC=msn&STYPE=D&PG=L&CB=1&R=D&C=&CID=00000509745&cbdt=Hotels&catID=23289&RR=10&AL=&RE=200+State+Rt+94&RT=Vernon&RS=NJ&RZ=&PS=45&search=Find+It)
I'm not sure how sketchy these places are. Anyone live near there that could take a quick look for others that need to crash?

I'm only 2hrs from there so I can do the drive each day if I can make it. I'd let people crash at my place, but I live in a closet

ok i cant find the walmart list, but is there a walmart neerby cuz if so we can pop are camper there for free and then i can bumb a shower at one of the rooms and then all i have to pay is lift ticket and food

Greco
12-07-2004, 05:10 PM
dean had a camper overnight in the parking lot of mtn. creek (see pic) last season and they were cool with it. although ben worked his magic on them in the head office. ben, teach bailey all you know about that since he's the new film maker on the scene.

Alex & Bailey,

I'll be driving down from central New Hampshire. If you can get to my house if you are driving, or to Lebanon, NH or someplace on the CT river or even Rutland, VT using bus or train, I can pick you up and if we are late getting back, you can stay at my place and then take a bus or train back if you don't have a car. I think there is still an Amtrak train from Montreal down the CT river that stops close to me.

Kelli,

Like Greco says, we had the RV in the parking lot and there was an electric hookup next to the lot so it was OK. There is a WalMart about 10 miles away as I recall.

if so what would they cost for the three days?

that and i just spoke with creek they are going to let my family park the trailer on the overflow lot(greco when u make reservations let me know please)

Greco
12-13-2004, 08:33 AM
sideburns just reminded me of a good deal at creek. i already renewed mine from last year for $49 but new buy in is $59, still a great deal for 3 days or riding.

Greco - I wasn't sure if Mt Creek hooked you guys up for the event in Jan, but my friend sent me this link and thought I'd pass it along.
Triple Play (http://www.mountaincreek.com/triple_play.aspx) is $59.00 for 3 tickets and they're good for any days except Jan 15-17 (Martin Luther King weekend)
It's like getting a 3 for the price of 1. I also noticed that you have to buy before 12/24 (not sure) and they're non-refundable.
Feel free to post it.
-Mike

Kelli
12-13-2004, 09:25 AM
are those all day from like 10 to 10? or how long are they for on those three days?

sideburns
12-13-2004, 09:42 AM
Greco would know better than I would, but I think they're the All Day lift tickets - open to close. They're just not valid from Jan 15-17 because it's MLK's birthday holiday weekend. Otherwise, you can use it anytime.

Greco
12-13-2004, 02:20 PM
yeah i think they are good for 10-10 or whatever times they are open each day. and yes, only that one weekend is it unusable.

Kelli

Greco
01-06-2005, 09:08 PM
includes all people who have skiboards, snowblades, skiblades, snowlerblades, etc.. strapped to their feet, regardless of skill level. oh yeah and if you use polls you can sleep in the bathtub.....

i'm just kidding. all are welcome and encouraged to come. i've been riding with this core group of guys for years now and i can guarantee they are the most cool, down to earth guys you'll ever meet. no need to feel intimidated at all. they will go out of their way to help you get better or learn any tricks you can think of. it's going to be an amazing weekend for skiboarding!

Please email me if you're coming so I can add you to the list.

UnWoRtHy
01-10-2005, 09:10 PM
I just talked to my boss today about getting my vacation hours for those days. He said just to let him know the dates. So I'm definately down if I can get a couple questions answered. First...Rooms, regardless of how many people show, are going to be free? That's almost too good to be true! Second: When should I show? and Third: How are the conditions expected to be?

The whole conditions thing wouldn't really bear any of me deciding to go or not...Mostly will I be able to afford it. If I can, expect to see me there!

Greco
01-10-2005, 10:31 PM
Tell your boss you'll see him Monday, jan 31st. :)

Yes the rooms are being picked up by SBOL and Spruce, no charge to riders. But bring a sleeping bag just incase but we got a bunch of rooms so it should be somewhat comfortable.

Plan on showing up friday, jan 28th, riding and then crashing at the hotel friday and saturday nights. So riding fri, sat & sun.

As for conditions that's up to mother nature. We just got a few inches last week that will help a lot. If its cold they will make snow, rain is the enemy.

I hope you can make it.

G

Jonny W
01-11-2005, 08:02 AM
is there a park worth hitting with the lack of snow. like film worthy, or should i save my money for another trip more worthwhile?

jonny, this IS the event, everyone is going to be there. the conditions are only going to get better as the winter goes on so get your ass down here! :D

Still got a spot on the floor for this one Greco? I could use a break from the fellow skiboarder devoid existence I seem to lead around here... Do you have a group rate thing going for the weekend? Don't think I can make it down for riding Friday, but Sat/Sun sounds awesome. Also, if there's anyone in/around Central Mass who needs a ride or is driving and can give me a ride, that would be great. Hope to see you guys down there...

Greco
01-14-2005, 08:34 PM
sure man, definitely. what's your first name and first letter of your last name?

no lift ticket deals because we'd have to buy them all up front and we've been burned by this in the past. we posted info about the triple play card awhile ago which is a great deal but no longer available. look into a creek card, that may give some discounts.

g

fluxgame
01-14-2005, 10:52 PM
Dave H.

I can understand you not wanting to front money for a group. Are there enough people (15+) out there, though, that still need lift tickets that we could organize a pay up front kinda thing to get the group rate? It's $19/day cheaper that way... If not, I'll just tough it out.

Want me to bring my camera along to shoot the event? (nice Digital SLR, photo major, yadda, yadda, yadda)

Greco
01-15-2005, 12:37 AM
the current list of people coming is on the first page of this post.
i'll call creek on monday and ask them for details on group tix. it might just require a $100 deposit.

bring whatever cameras you'd like, it's always good to have more "eyes" i know i'll have a new miniDV and bailey will be filming and i think a few others.

g
