Hey all, I just got an order in from levelninesports where I ordered a few of their Download brand jackets. The prices are righteous and the jackets are indeed of very good quality. If you need a good jacket at a good price check them out. One word of advice - in the write ups they say the jackets tend to run large so consider downsizing. Don't.

I've found some products on that site for very good prices. They have great service from what I've experienced. Very good quality is correct. Great suggestion Vannon!

dogfunk.com has a sale right now on their jackets and pants as well. Not quite as good prices but still 40% isn't bad.

Besides style, what do you guys look for in a jacket? Any particular shell material or features you gotta have?

oxenboxin,

Sure. I need to have 1/4 sleeves with thumb loops, a pass holder on the sleeve with preference on the forearm section, an internal mp3 pocket and a little guide hole for my headphone cable. Pockets should close with both a zipper and snaps. I much prefer magnetic snaps over velcro or the old fashioned male/female type snaps. Removable liner matters. at least 5,000 whatevers on the wind/waterproofing with 10,000 preferred. I hate hoods so if the jacket comes with them it must be removeable. Zippers need to be operable with gloves on. The jacket needs to either fit at the waist or have enough drape to cover both me and a major appliance otherwise I spend my day sort of pulling it around into comfortable positions. Colors are neutral. Dark gray, forest green - stuff like that.
