ok i was just doing some research and was wondering as there is only mix and canon who would like to see a new core skiboard company, starting off with clothing and dvds then escalating into bindings/skiboard manufacturing? i just want to hear what you lot think about that? would anyone like to see more companys like that?

Thanks

there MUST be some more, ok, the market is small, but 2 companies hm, and they dont sell skiboards how much is neede from buyers - i mean, there are much who want buy, but no company can give it!

so, there must be some more, which will offer buy skiboards at the season start, not in the MIDLE...like some of companies now do it!

i think its hard to go straight into making skiboards so its best to start small then get bigger...

do you think it would be worth it though, because if i just go ahead with it and well theres no interest its alot of money to lose.

Go for it. It'd be nice to see some more skiboard aimed videos and clothing. Especially skiboard clothing with a better size range, the only sizes you can find right now are medium and large. Some smalls would be nice.

I agree with courtney some companies with clothing in size small would be really nice. plus other companies into skiboards would be awesome

well, it all depends. it depends on what the initial investments are (potential sunk costs) and how are you targeting your products. i have no clue about sales estimates (q-wise), but i bet you can market to different audiences: from very narrow skb society to wider snowsports to active life-style (snow, urban, wind, sand, surf) people, without losing the basic skiboarding devotion of the brand. it's actually if you position skb against the other sports or as one of the whole myriad of them. and after that you can select different sales channels that currently have the traffic and reach wide audience. after the initial start-up stage is went through (and you have covered your investments) you may start positioning your products more explicitly as a pure skb brand.

hell, i just realized my b.sc. major was business consulting :D
