Anyone want to get together and ride Dec. 20 or 21st? It would have to be a day trip and it needs to be in NY, NJ or Mass. Mike? Ron?

There's a chance that I may be at Hunter on Tuesday the 21st. It just depends on the weather. Hunter says that they have 10 trails open and 3 lifts and it's expected to remain cold thru the weekend. I'd be going with two of my skiier friends for the day.
I'll keep you updated. Let me know if you're interested.

i'm interested but i don't like hunter too much. short runs and long lines but hey it's better than not skiboarding.

If you have another suggestion, we're not set in stone. I'm more of a carver anyway and would rather have longer runs...

OK, i'm planning on going somewhere this Saturday. I'm trying to find people to go right now. I'll count Ron and Andy in. Anyone else want to meet somewhere on Saturday?

(I contacted Jiminy Peak, they won't have their park ready this weekend. Windham won't have their park ready until Sunday. mtn creek opens saturday but it will probably be a hella crowded and i would like to carve a bit)

They say it's like the same size as mountain creek.

Greco

yeah that's the problem. if they don't have a park then forget it, if they do then maybe.

Well we've got 3+ feet of freshies up here at Jay with plenty more on the way. Most of the mountain will be open this weekend and the woods are in great shape too. A bit of a drive I know, but if you want snow, we got it up here.

Greco sure does like woods and powder.

a bit of a drive? i'll say. 12 hour round trip is a bit too much for one day of riding. but i'd like to make a weekend out of it this winter.

That would be a bit long of a day. Let me know when you, or anyone for that matter, is headed up here. I'll make sure your time here isn't wasted on the groomers. Well, there's a few groomers worth hitting, but the woods are where it's at.

Jay offers some good ski and stay deals too. And if you're Canadian, you can pay at par with the American dollar.

Let me know if you have any questions on other places and I’ll give you the skinny on them.

I was just looking at the Jay calendar. On March 6th, they're having a rail jam. This is a new event and there's no detailed info yet, but this could be a good day to help showcase the sport.

There's also an annual race on the 5th.
