They are pretty much my go to music for skiboarding. Their songs are so relaxed, but have a beat at the same time. Their songs say "Hey, chill out and go with the flow. Be yourself. Nothing else is important." Kind of like skiboarding. Just relax and do it.
Does anyone know what happened to them? Or are they still around? Im going to go do some google action on that. I just recently discovered their music. Like how long have they been around?
On the same page, does anyone have and similiar music? My favorite songs by them are:
Runnin' With a Gun
Collie Man
Closer to the Sun
I like stuff like that. I've recently branched into listening to music like Owl City, but the high toned techno beats are starting to get on my nerves.

I love slightly stoopid, they are great. They live in my hometown, San Diego and I saw them live a few years ago. They are still touring and I'm going to see them in February in Flagstaff, AZ.
If you like them listen to some, 311, Incubus, Sublime.

Okay, I had never listened to Slightly Stoopid before I read your post. I absolutely love their sound. I totally respect your taste in music! I went and downloaded every song I could find of theirs onto my MP3 player. Do you have any other reccomendations(sp?) of music?
Check out 3oh3! too, they are really upbeat, and a lot of fun to listen to.

Radiohead is pretty mellow and muse kind of has a hint of influence of radiohead so if you like radiohead, check them out. If you already listen to them, disregard this post.

My friend turned me on to that album and I loved it. They came to Burlington last year and I was pumped for the show. Quickly found out about the punky-thrashy-metal type sound they also have. Felt like a bit of bait and switch. Def was not expecting that. Their live show was great though. The opening act was supposed to be Fishbone. I checked the venue’s site a few weeks before the show and learned about Fishbone not playing for a reason outside of the venues control. I hadn't seen Fishbone in years but since I was not going to the show to see Fishbone I paid little attention to the replacement band. Inner Circle. Yes. That Inner Circle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVBB2upbVys&feature=related). Only I didn’t put that together yet. As we walked in my first thought was, wow, they’re doing a cover of Bad Boys, by Inner Circle. No. Wait. That IS Inner Circle. And they’re singing Bad Boys. They were great. Really high energy and had the whole place moving. As they built toward the finale of their set, a guy who I assume is their hype guy comes out and holds up a cardboard sign that simply says, Inner Circle. Then hype man and the lead singer held the sign together and used it like a giant fan for the crowd. They tore the roof of the place. Everyone in there knew who they were for just that reason. But they still felt the need to hold a sign, to let the people who didn’t get the memo, that said hey, even though your ticket may say it, we’re not Fishbone. To be honest, I’m glad it wasn’t. If you get a chance to see Inner Circle. Do it.

I enjoy Slightly Stoopid, but I don't carry them on my skiboarding soundtrack. I've still got a gig left on my MP3 player... Maybe I'll acquire some.

I woulda been disappointed. Inner Circle is alright, but I would absolutely love to see Fishbone live...but like that would surprise anyone from my name and such.

I was there to see Slightly Stoopid, so the opening acts were not the draw. I was psyced to see Fishbone becuase I hadn't seen them in years. They are great live.
I was really surprised at Inner Circle though. They put on a great live show. Music is so-so, but the energy they kick out was amazing. Those guys looked well into their 40's or 50's.

WookieFoot sample tracks (http://www.wookiefoot.com/music.cfm); A Jam Band from Minneapolis. This is how they describe themselves.. "… somewhere between Sublime, Cake, G-love, Arrested Develoment, Spearhead and Parliament is where we hang out !! Funky backbeats with any and everything added on top: Reggae, SoCal Dub, Rock, Sitars, Traditional Irish… nothing is off limits. We love to weave pockets of improvisation with tightly crafted songs forming a perfect fit for the attention deficit generation. We like to call it “SHORT ATTENTION-SPAN THEATER”"
I love them.. You won't find their music in stores, but I ordered Activate online, and their other albums used to be in torrents. If you guys are really interested I could upload albums for you.

Hey guys not sure if anyone listens to them but Citizen cope has some really mellow music. I found them because of the movie Accepted...Let the drummer kick is played in the part of the movie where everybody finds out that the school isn't real and are walking out angry at the guy who started it. Some really great music.
