So I called around my parents house to find out who does heat molding for ski boots. The only person I found that could do it says it cost 60bucks a hour. Does that seam right?
skafreak... you live in new mexico do you know anyone?
what type of liners ? i can explain to you how to do it at home. should cost between 15-20 dollars.

Da:
$60 an hour sounds pretty stiff. Our friendly local shop was happy to do it for me complimentary even though I bought the boots/liners elsewhere (online).
It's not rocket science. I'd ding on Mark for directions and try it yourself.

If you haven't called sport systems yet (505-837-9400) I would suggest giving them a try. They recently merged with another local business called sports outdoors which is where I got my boots molded. They kept the same bootfitters that sports outdoors used to have if I am not mistaken, and they definitely knew what they were doing. My first moldable boots were Deeluxe's from SBOL, and they molded those for free for me. My Dalbello's I got lucky and they cut me an amazing deal on, and then molded for free as well. Now they might charge since sport systems bought them out, but I wouldn't imagine you would pay more than $20-30 for it at most.

Just out of curiousity, when you called did you speak to the bootfitters or to the front counter, and secondly, did you specifically say heat molding, or did you say to get your boots fit? I'd suggest that if you haven't tried it yourself by the time you get to Albuquerque that you should take your boots in, head straight back to the fitters, and ask them directly. If it is too expensive, you can always turn around and walk out.

I talked to the counter.. its no biggie.. I'll just do like you said and walk straight to the back and ask them in person... and see
