If your an expirienced skiboarder and you were on the slopes with a skiboarder that hasnt done any rails yet and they asked you for advice what would you tell them before they attempted the rail?

Pop up off of the jump, rotate, slide the rail sideways, ride it out, 90 off landing foreward. Additional tip, don't fall, it will hurt.

try going slow at first, then really fast. and go straight on em before going sideways. don't try going off a jump onto one.

it will not hurt.

When your first hitting a rail youd be best off hitting something with a kicker that is equal/higher than the rail. Ride with the rail inbetween yourl egs and pop off the jump. Once off the jump roate your body 90 degrees sideways. It is natural instinct to try to go forward off of a rail, but you should just go with the momentum and land off the rail facing backwards.

AFTERBANG and ride away

I SLAMMED a previously briused spot on my leg today, so it is possible that I am overreacting on the "it will hurt" syndrome.

On a side note, what do you mean by AFTERBANG?

After Bang use to be the exact opposit of that...

The name use to be when you gave fist pump after landing a trick. As in, AFTER landing the trick, you'd BANG your fist. I heard this term a looong time ago... back in the 90s. There is an older snowboard movie called AfterLame that sorta makes fun of it.

IMO, the new version of after bang pretty much sums up everything pathetic in the ski world... You got a bunch of spoiled kids with rich parents that think they're gangster because they get to ski all over the world and go to ski camps?? Tall tees and ultra baggy pants hide sloppy riding...

Even some people on NS were saying that and I agree, didn't want to admit it but now that a pro has said it I feel it is okay to say. I hate seeing all the gangsta kids on the slopes. A few NS guys came up with a nice name for it...Laughterbang. I LOL'd
