Hey, I am new to skiboarding, until about a week ago i never knew it existed. I am and avid skier and and have been skiing since i was for 12 years now. after reading things one this site i now pretty much know the difference between ski boards and blades. i have used snow blades in the past, and actually own a pair i got cheap off a friend. anyways i want to get into skiboarding since they seem to be much more advanced in all areas in comparison to blades. I was looking at a pair of Snojam 90cm with Extreme II bindings. and my question is if this are a decent brand of skiboards and a good choice for someone who has a fair bit of experience on the slopes.
thanks

SnowJams are solid boards, and bindings. But there's the matter of your size, and weight to consider too.
Where you going to be riding? Park, groomers, trees, pow? Depending on what you say, the SnowJams might not be for you.

No plans of park?
I'd recommend hitting up slow's thread.

The 90s wont float through powder with you on them, probably not the best choice.

after looking at that chart and some other things, might be leaning more towards the Revel8 BWP's

The BWPs will still have trouble getting you through the pow.
Welcome to the forum zhack.
I agree with EmptiMind, the BMP will not do it for you in pow.
Consider the KTP, Revolts, ALP or Spruce 120 for an all mountain skiboard. BTW, what bindings are you considering?

the KTP seems to be suitable for me, and i would be using non-release bindings

Heh, it seems that you're afraid to go long zhack. Any reason for it? The longer the board the more stable it is. The Revolts are the longest boards I've used (105cm) and they're so smooth. They also make great park boards, I can grind and hit boxes just fine. When it comes to aerial stuff the added stability makes landing so much easier.
Although, the KTPs will help you float through powder, and they'll certainly perform in the park. The width of those bad boys does make it harder to carve. You'll have to get higher on edge to complete a successful carve. For your needs of no park, some pow, and mostly groomers, not sure if that's correct. But that's my 2 cents. Ultimately, any Revel8 board you choose will be better than anything you've ever ridden.

im thinking teh BWPs will be fine for me, since i intend to hit powder maybe 4-6 time a yr, and it wouldn't be anything serious at all......most places around where i am are all heavily machine groomed

Those BWP's will be a sweet ride... love them, they are fun, smooth, quick, nimble and easy to ride. Don't worry about the other board choices, you'll be hooked and be getting second or third pair anyways; like the Revolts or Alps or Spruce or even the KTP will do at your size. Since powder is not a big deal right now for you, the BWP's will surpass your expectations on the runs, they are a true skiboard size and act wonderfully on those groom runs you like, plus they still go fast and are stable and the blunt tips will get you through crud. Good solid board choice. Again, later I suggest a bit longer wider board as you will want to hit powder more.
Enjoy the ride on the BWP or whichever board you choose; might wanna check over at the gear for sale area, Sempai has a very nice 99cm Nomads with Bomber bindings and a bag all in one tidy price; very solid good board and in fine condition.... just a thought and just helping a friend out as well as a new skiboard rider.
