Let me first caveat this with the fact that I haven't been there in a few years and never with skiboards.
With skis, I've always had a great time there. There are always many different types of trails to ride on and I've never seen it crazy busy. The conditions have always been mixed (as they probably are with any mountain). Some icy, some groomed, some powdery, and some glades too. I think they have about 70 trails open right now. It just depends on the weather.

I haven't been to their parks either, sorry I can't comment on em. I know they hold the Snowboard US Open there and that pipe has always been sick, otherwise, I have no clue.

Plus, it's not as overwhelming or as massive as Killington.
My friends are heading up there this coming weekend cuz they got a sweet deal -- $108 for one night's stay and two lift tickets (either Friday/Sat or Sat/Sun).
That's usually 2 x $72 + hotel = $144 + ~$80 = $224.

It may not even be a deal. They looked online at the stratton.com site and it just worked out to that price. No specials or coupons or anything. Looks like a great deal for someone who wants to ski two days and needs a place to stay.

On the downside, there's no night skiing - 8:30am-4pm on the weekends.

I hope others who have been to Stratton in more recent past (and with skiboards) will post their experiences.
If you can't get a great deal on lift tickets tho, I'd be hesitant due to their $72 price on the weekends.

I've been to Stratton several times, but like sideburns, on skis. Never been since I started skiboarding. I've got to say it's one of my favorite hills. It's a great place with a huge variety of terrain. If you went down a different trail every run, you probably couldn't hit the whole place in a day.

i have been to stratton last year and this year using skiboards. last year it was so snowy and windy but it had many trails open. the parks mainly consists of rails. this year i went and it was just about the worst skiing conditions iv ever been in. the gondola, the magic carpet, and the quad were the only lifts open and there was only a single rail park open. it had about 5 rails, and all the people i met in there were compleat ass holes. there were no jumps at all on the mountain except for one 4 foot drop off point getting off one of the glaid trails. me and some friends took a few hours and built a little kicker but it didnt last long. we rode it a few times each and then rode to the bottem, when we came back to our jump we watched as dumbass skiiers destroyed our jump. like 20 of those N008S, one right after another wore our jump down to nothing. Stratton needs good terrain parks!
