Last time i posted this i was all about low price. Now I want a impact short made for skiing. I dont care about price...only protection. I can only find crap so Im needing some advice/ help getting some. Thanks

These are pretty damn awesome. Foam padded. and then the hips and tailbone areas have plastic on the outside of the foam. I have a pair and they work well.

have a look at the products of http://www.demonsnow.com/
theyre absolutely great.
at http://www.demonsnow.com/pr_pro.html
I bought the flexforce pro jacket and shorts, and theyre just awesome, especially the jacket, it already saved me a lot of bruises.
For the shorts, depends on what youre doing and how hard^^
I mean for small to medium accidents stuff like my shorts or the link kirk postet is nice, if you want to go for maximum risk I would also go for maximum protection...
depends on what you do...

haha my bad guys out of pure stupidity i bought the ones i previously posted. Just got em . They are very nice with plastic on the hips and tailbone and pads everywhere else. srry mark for not listening to you. You obviously know what you are doing because you are team revel 8 :). will listen next time but like i said..free shipping on the ones i got and only 75$
sixsixone makes legit stuff nick, you should be all set !
let us know how they are in terms of move-ability, how much the pads stick out, that sort of thing. i've heard good thigns about skeletoolz pads also

They are actually pretty good. Stretchiness everywhere in a net type thing. Wont get too hot but It gives a compression shorts type feel. Nice padding on the hips (plastic) and plastic tailbone guard. Good padding every where else. Good maneuverability from riding in the backyard terrain park (BTP). havent tried em on the slopes yet.
