I'm interested in getting a new pair of skiboards. I've had my Canon M7 for around 3 years, and they are getting pretty battered (accidental cliff scraping, rocks and just general riding and transport scratches). I own two pairs of bindings, the B2 Canon binding that came with them which I replaced with Line FF Pro.

Should I get a new pair of Canon M7 boards, or is there something better out there? I could still use the old ones with the old bindings to lend to friends.
And I'm tempted by the Riser bindings, though it's more than I was planing to spend. Are they good, and do they actually work? The B2 bindings kept falling of all the time, once when landing a jump which caused me to invest in the FF and a helmet after the black eye and slight concussion went away. :) The FF are good, but don't release. Are releasable bindings worthe the extra cost?

Oh...and anyone know if the M7s will be available again soon?

ragnar,

welcome to the forum. thanks for joining.

the m7's might be available again in february but that's not definite.

i suggest you check out the new mix boards. ie: the fusion are a bit wider than your m7's with really high tips and tails. perfect for all mountain riding.

if you want maximum speed look into the adam lynam pro's and if you like the 99 length but want something geared more for park riding then check the ben wannamaker pros.

the spruce releasable bindings are by far the best releasable solution on the market today. they work and work well. if you are concerned because your bindings don't release then these are exactly the bindings you want.

The bindings on The Riser ARE regular ski bindings - Salomon C509.
