Ancients

I just realized I never really introduced myself.
Welp, I'm Mat R. (aka Ancents) I go to college, as a computer science major, and ski with skafreak in New Mexico "the land of entrap.... enchantment* ". I started riding skiboards last year while skafreak was my roommate and got the basics down quickly. After a couple of months riding I was lucky enough to hitch a ride with Ska up to Colorado where G was nice enough to let us crash with them and ride with the pro's. (ben/mark/brett/ect.) Skafreak had showed me some videos but nothing really captures what those guys are like in person. I still don't know how Borja can be that crazy and still be alive. Meeting Greco and Jeff showed me the sheer crazyness of the research and time they put into their boards quality and design. I won't ever worry about gear I buy from them unless I try something really crazy (and thats normally ska's department). That trip started with me receiving my first pair of boards and sadly ended with the last ski day of the season.
I will fast forward through summer with the comment of "F*** granite tables"
Now its season two and I'm trying my best to keep up with ska. My speed has improved, my style actually exists, and for some strange reason a guy with no balance can hit a box without coming out on his ass. After a few days of riding I can finally keep up with skafreak on most runs (when he's fakie....). Now its just a few days before I attempt an "easy" run down the Taos ridge when I can finally consider myself not a noob anymore.
