I totally agree that there's nothing wrong with twin tip'n or snowboarding either, but many just turned their backs to the sport all together. Especially the ones who helped bring it to life.

like i've always thought and said, twin tips and skiboards are complementary...

i think that twintip can bring a loooot to your skiboard style , and skiboard brings a lot to ski.
There's no war between skis and skiboards ....

The good thing is to pratice BOTH !
i bought some salomon teneightys this year and still skiboarding and i can tell ya it helps to progress...

And i totally agree with IAN.CAP that the bad thing is that people like Mike Nick or Stewart never touch again skiboards....
They turn their backs to the sport whereas they're the ones who helped bring it to life.

first off no one hate on andy he has the right to do whatever he wants. secondly, andy and many other skiers who switched from skiboarding to skiing did not "turn their backs on skiboarding". just because they don't ever intend to put skiboards on their feet again doesnt mean theyve done anything to disrespect skiboarding. in my opinion as long as they don't talk shit about skiboarders then their choice to switch from skiboarding to skiing is "justified". besides if they choose not to skiboard anymore its their own personal decision, and subsequently none of our business. its not like they are indebted to our sport and therefore must pay hommage to it by riding skiboards at least 10 times a season. they should have to freedom to choose what they want to do.

I totally agree with that. People have the right to do whatever they want to. That's what we're looking for here too. By turning their backs, I just mean that it doesn't help our sport to lose riders. Yes, people have the right to do whatever they want and I have no beef with that, it's just many of them got to where they are because of skiboarding.

uh andy rode skiboards specifically for ben and white dwarf, don't you guys remember andy's section? that wasn't filmed 5 years ago, it was last seaon. andy will always have a special place in his heart for snowlerblades.

Yeah....the guy is a great rider and needs to make a living...I'm sure he's on to bigger things now.Big props and more power to him. Just sucks to lose such a great rider. But there are more rippers out there...You know who you are.
