I love my deshis... I am no pro but I do know what I like when it comes to the ride. I have been rec skating for 12 years.

I would recommend a setup like this:
http://secure.rollerwarehouse.com/orstore/skatekit1.aspx
I tried to stay in the color theme of white and blue. I don't know what size shoe you wear but you should be wearing the equivalent of your ski boot size.

Check out the RW Forums too. Their buy/sell forum is great. I picked up my Deshi Greys there for about half of what they should cost.

The cheapest new ones that you will be able to find will cost 150 and they are the rollerblade TRS skates...They seem really low end to me.

no one checked the link i posted?

TRS DT4s for 119.99

no where near big bucks and they are decent skates.

Razors Cult and Roces 12 are also around that range. And I think k2's skate is around there?

Cores seem like good skates, I haven't seen anybody ride them but they look legit. I don't know about those frames though, maybe groove them out with a file or sandpaper or something.

Corrs seem pretty shitty to me....i don't even know if they are UFS compatible. You would be better off buying some good equipment, because when your skating you need to trust what you're riding

Nick, what size do you need? They, like ski boots, need to be snug. I can find you a pair on the rollerwarehouse forums. There is a guy on there right now selling some Razor G4s for $30 size 9. If you pick those up you can get a ready to roll frame for $40 on Aggressive Mall.

boots:

Frames/wheels:

Frame Receptors:

all of this for a grand total of $79

those cult 7s look sooo much better than the ATAs. Little more $$ but looks like a good deal for a GOOD skate.

DennisEvans
03-16-2009, 08:11 PM
nope buddy, go 10.5 and make it really tight, same as you would do with ski boots. With skates, the boots generally fit 2 sizes and you can just change out the liners when you need to move up in size.

Not to contradict anyone on here, but I went up a size on my Cults and didn't regret it.

Roussel

depends on the model and skate.

rule of thumbs, is for cults and roces and valo up one size. most other skates takes same size as your shoe or down a half or full size

common shell sizing. most skates go 10 shell with a 9 or 10 liner, meaning going smaller wont hurt.
