Hey guys,

Been wanting to find this out without asking for a long time - what's the history of the Revel8 designation? How did it come about? What's the deep, dark meaning?

Maybe it's derived from the word "revelate" which means "to reveal"

Just a guess.

Yea, a similar thought crossed my mind as obviously that the phonetics of it. I'm glad we're seeing that the same way. You are clearly a scholar and a gentleman. There are damn few of us left.

I'm wondering the story behind the name. Any ideas?

I asked the question of Greco when he, Kirk, Ben, and DCox met up with us for dinner after Heavenly at Tahoe Shredfest.

He did say Ben came up with it. If I remember correctly, Ben said he just thought it sounded cool. He stressed it was meant to be one word ... smooth sound, no pause ... not Revel-eight ... but rather reveleight.

Probably because the full explanation seems to have been pretty well hashed out already. The name is derived from revelate. The name along with the phonetic spelling using the 8 was Ben Wannamakers idea and chose to do so because he thought it sounded/looked good.
