I figured that since this section is young, I might try and keep it nice and clean for G's sake. Hence the Skating Pics Thread...
I have been doing some for my digital photography class for my final portfolio here are some examples of my skills in photography and in skating.
To truly understand what is going on in this need to see it closer to full sized than I would end up posting it so... here's the link:

This is essentially how I got that above shot. Yes, I know this one is cheating, but I really can do it, I just can't catch it on self shoot mode when the shutter speed has to be so low. I also enjoy making the viewer feel like they are part of the experience and behind the camera and lights.
NEXT!
haha, you're a silly guy.
nice shots.

All were snap-shots from videos. Woo for trying to get some video clips on days I couldn't get anything.

Daily Bread had financial problems, and angie wasn't running like she should have.
bunch of the employees hadn't been paid for a while and so they mutinied. they started one magazine, it is barely scraping by. you are right though, DB was the true voice of skating and a huge piece of what skating was died with it. I talk to angie still, we are going to get every issue online and free to read. keep the history going.
that is cool you have seen on of my movies, i made 9 or so over the years, 2 with daily bread. i looked at your site you have some interesting designs, although i have to say i would be scared to death trying to soul a rail with skiboards on. a royale on the other hand...

I think the perfect length board is 30 inch .you can stretch enough to soul.or porn star or whatever .but it seems like to me over 30 inch it becomes increasingly hard to do rollerblade style tricks.but they can still be done with bigger boards.I made a prototype based on a 24 inch skiboard.but I don't know if kids would buy that?I want to make a plastic soul plate.with 30 inch maybe 31 inch skiboard.that would be the best for rollerblading on snow.I had alot of fun in 04 05 and 06 with it.I want to do something with the usd evo . but I don't know if I should. but I am low on money right now and have to spend it on other things. It snowed here 3 inch 27 degrees at day so thats good.stay up

holy shit Beau i remember your shots in daily bread too, ESPECIALLY that shima huck. sick stuff. i actually was digging through some old boxes the other day and found a whole bunch of DBs.
props on getting the DBs online, post up here when they're up i'll be excited to go reminisce. it was a shame when it went under, at least they didn't pull some bull and start sending me skateboard mags like when Box went under.
