I'm definitly in for at least all day Saturday, but I'm trying to decide if I should plan on Friday and/or Sunday also. Since Mt. Creek is 2 hours by car, I'd stay overnight if I go for 2 or 3 days.
 Here's what I'm struggling with. On the one hand, a couple of days on the mountain in the park with other skiboarders could really help develop my skills. :D And I can REALLY use the help.
:( On the other hand, my wife is not interested in going, and she isn't crazy about the idea of me crashing in a hotel room with all those "strange" people. (she has seen some of the pictures on this site from other events like Hood).
So, I thought I'd seek some input from all of you to help me make up my mind. As soon as I know if I'll be riding 1, 2, or 3 days, I'll pre-order tickets and lunch toward the discount.

dylan,
i can understand what you're saying. at hood there was one room and believe me it wasn't the best situation.
at creek we are going to have 5-6 rooms and there will be a "crazy" room(s) and more relaxed, "calmer" rooms.
i plan on staying in a calm, clean room and visiting the "crazy" room. you can crash in my room. all rooms will have double beds.

It doesn't look like we'll be able to do the discounted tickets because of the people who said they are coming only 13 need tickets and we need at least 15 per day.

Greco forgot to mention that there is also a blade room. It's very quiet in there too.
Kelli
01-19-2005, 04:21 PM
what is the blade room?
G matt said he may be bringing people with him also. and hopefully we can talk John from Kreation into coming
jsinger

The blade room is where the secret society of snowbladers meet. Since I'm the only member, it's very quiet.
Kelli

ah so ur gonna be the loner, the secretive one
jsinger
01-19-2005, 06:39 PM
No, no, we're not loaners at all. We get set up with an open bar and everything but when those skiboarders see that blade nailed to the door of the room, they break out in a cold sweat and we never see 'em again.

As long as there are at least 12 people, even if we all chip in and buy 3 more and burn 'em to get to the magic number 15, we can still save $$$ plus get free lunches.
12 people - save about $5 each
13 people - save about $15 each
14 people - save about $25 each
Canadians save ABOOT $2 more, eh. ;)
And free lunches.

its no official that I CANNOT go to Mt.Creek....
we all know its hell to get across the border into the US
for us Canadians...we need either a valid birth certificate or passport. and my passport has expired and getting another one takes a few months (my dad is in the process right now and its hell...)
I dont really wanna go there only to be turned down at the border.
Bailey : do u have either of those documents to get across?
theres still hope if I can find a birth certificate but
apparently they often just deny us entry on US Soil for no apparent reason....
Hope you guys have a good one!!! wish I could'Ve been there =(((
but on a bright note Tibor just emailed me and he'S sending me replacement boards so I can still catch a few rides this season.

Greco

what about a birth certificate and a driver's license? that should be enough.
come on man you need to get down here. once you get moved in and start working on the house you'll never have time to ride with the guys.

I'm moving in this weekend.... =)
but it wont stop me from riding this year and the following.
I still hope to get some riding done with Bailey and possibly Kev this season. If they can come down here I can host em without a problem and drive ou to any moutain in QC. Billy Would most definately join us too. we need to do a sort of "Quebec Tour" =P
as for creek I'll take a look for my birth certificate but chances are slim I'll find it. and moving in means alot of money involved in the first few weeks so I have to make a tight budget. I'll check it out to see if I can afford gas + lift tickets for the weekend.
keep you guys posted

Please, please, please, if you're going to be at Creek, PRE-ORDER (http://www.skiboardsonline.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SBOL&Product_Code=creek_discounts) your tickets so we can get the discount. I really want to be there for two days, but I don't think I can afford it right now at $53 a day.

I pre-ordered 3 tix for 2 days, but that only brought the total count to 5 so I canceled yesterday. If enough of you are going to do it, I'll re-order ... but you need to get on the ball now.
Davelynam
01-25-2005, 04:55 PM
ill do it if theres enough people
fluxgame

Greco, feel free to jump in here if I'm wrong in my reasoning...
To anyone out there who is thinking they'll do this if there are enough people:
Place your order NOW. If it turns out there aren't enough people we won't be able to get the discount, Greco won't make the deposit, and you aren't going to get charged. If you don't place your order NOW Greco can't count you into the total and there AREN'T going to be enough people. We have to get this done 48 hours before the event (i.e. we're probably already too late to get a discount for Friday). So, if you're coming this weekend and don't have a ticket already, get yourself over to the ticket order page Right Now.
Greco
01-25-2005, 11:11 PM
i don't think it's going to happen with the tickets. we had 5 people who ordered and 3 just pulled out.
