Summer's almost over and i havent done half of what i would have liked to do.
I havent even touched my Mission Inlines this summer(other than to dust the area). They're 9 years old and i've finally worn out the bearings and wheels. I havent gotten around to ordering new.
I tried to pick up another 300ZX. After hearing the loan officer inform me that an unsecured loan was going to run @ 13% interest while my savings is 0.01% and my money market is at .11% i laughed at him and walked out.
I vowed to start eating better and working out more in preparation for the upcoming ski season. Sadly, that hasnt happened yet.
But, i have been quite busy.
I kneeboard atleast once a week or as often as my body will allow. i picked up an O'brien Ricochet which i love, but always forget to grab the digital before i go out. I have been wanting to try out wakeskates so thast next!
I've done a lot of airsofting. 8 hours of constant sprinting/jogging with 30 lbs of gear does a pretty decent job of keeping up the endurance.
top row second from the end on the right. ~50% of our team attended. Early spring. Oldest member = 41, Youngest = 17. Its a great sport if you're fortunate to have the community to back it. Far more superior to paintball IMO.

here's some helmet cam vid we run.

I do airsoft 1-2 times a month and my team does national events.
Other than that, various bar crawls and maintaining my car while i wait for the snow to start falling.
How about you?

I've been cooking and doing research about places to move...actually just a couple of days ago my parents started thinking about moving out west because I am going to and because my mother's parents live out there. So I will have one school year left in Ohio and then awesome mountains and great terrain. But I will try to make it back out for Jay Jam if I can.
I've also been riding my bike and splitting wood. When I was in Idaho I got a new jacket and pants for the next four or five seasons. Full Oakley and all kick ass.

yea summer vacation is almost over but full out winter is so far away...
not a bad summer in all worked out just about every day and am in superior shape for ski season.
accomplished running my local 5k, 23min and 04 secs came in 11th, not bad for only training 10 days I guess.
Hung out and drank some well deserved beers with all the people I don't see during college
and then there was the whole working 5 days a week thing which is pretty enjoyable considering anything else I could be doing to make money
goes faster than you realize I guess, see everyone soon

Internet High-Five! Although, your ass sitting was warranted with the whole hammy pulling.
I really really need a job.

EmptiMind,
Yes, you are correct. If my doctor was aware of some of the things I was doing while under his care he would have passed me off to someone else out of disgust.
Take it from an older guy - the best time to quit a job is when you have another one - or 24 months of pay in the bank to weather the storm. Otherwise, you are cutting off your nose to spite your face. Can you pucker up and get your old gig back? Claim insanity, side effects from a now under control case of syphilis, anything really.

Hah, I had about 4 months worth of pay saved up, I promptly spent 1 and a half months worth of it as soon as I quit. I'm on month three right now.
As far as I hear, a lot of my old co-workers got laid off. Bank of America finally realized monkeys could perform our jobs, and not even suffer from that whole remorse thing. Plus, it's kind of a selling point. What other bank has monkeys working in the mortgage department? Never mind I retract that statement. I think monkeys are common in banks.
Here's hoping for the lotto!

Yep, its an honor system. sometimes people complain about not calling hits, but overall, everyone is pretty honest about it. Its a blast.

Airsoft is so much fun, I just wish I had the money (and friends with the money) to play that seriously.
And the honor system can be a pain at times. Different people have different ideas on what counts as a hit and what doesn't. And sometimes, when you are in a good firefight, you don't even realize you get hit.
This summer has been crazy for me. First, my wife's mom had an aneurysm but is now nearly recovered 100%. Then me and the wife took off for a long weekend up to Duluth and the north shore in MN. It's great up there for anyone who hasn't been. About a month ago my bro and best bud took a week long road trip out to Glacier National park and then up to Banff, AB Canada. That was a fun filled week with the best scenery I've seen packed into one short week. Right now I'm in Denver, CO with my dad and bro about to hit up a couple of Rockies games for our annual baseball stadium trip. Only bad thing is my vacation time will be dwindled down to nothing by the end of the summer.

Aside from working...
Went to Tahoe for a week
Went to Puerto Vallarta for a week
Moved to a ranch
Celebrating 10th anniversary tomorrow (friday 8/7)
Heading to SF to see Wicked and stay overnight
Heading to Hawaii on 8/20
Heading to Bodega Bay beach house on 8/28
Heading to Cabo for Thanksgiving
then the season should be right around the corner.
and of course getting stoked about the 09/10 board releases - they look badass.

Is P90X a workout plan? I am starting back into weight lifting with a workout called EDT
http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/compound_edt
I didn't read too much of this but I also like to increase my rep weight until I hit my max and then back off until about 20 lbs under the start weight. My goal is to up my rep weight about 15% a week.

Well lets see here....I worked every weekend all summer. Went to the U.P. for 10 days for a few weddings. Spent time with my sister and her boyfriend who are visiting from Sweden. (who hasn't been home since 03) Did some off-roading in the Explorer. Helped my mom move to the U.P. in the beginning of June.
Gom those are some good pics of chicken nuggets that you took.

Lots of physical on the bike, Xscape indoor snow slope once a month or so, improved diet (still a work in progress), lots of planning for next season over a beer or two. Get August done, then its nearly ski show time, and the season is right around the corner. In much better shape physically than this time last year.............
Had pig flu, no biggie!
Not much of a summer for me:
* summer is a busy time in our industry = work, and just more work (did not feel much of the recession) I am not complaining
* only took 2 days vacation so far = leaves more for the winter vacations so that is OK
* small investment in a company this spring = even more work to get it going again since it sat idle for 8 months
* moved mother in-law back to Canada and set her up in an appartment = having fun spending her money buying furniture
* crap weather = only a handful of days biking, hiking or camping
* into our 9th consecutive month of below average monthly temperatures
* outdoor wedding for brother in-law on one of the few nice days = more work
* looking forward to the skiboard season
* booked our annual family Banff trip starting boxing day = let me know if anyone is out that way during the same week
* trying to sort out skiboarding schedule for rest of season, midwest, jay, shredfest versus work travel commitments = not looking that good so far
A few things I have to get back on track:
* need to shed 15 pounds, 5 so far just adjusting my diet in the last 2 weeks
* need to get into my workout program by the end of the month
* need to update the skiboard selection table with 09/10 specs when released
* need to update the New to Skiboarding FAQ – The Basics , please pass on required revisions
* need to find time to participate on the forum vs just doing quick checks
