We just heard back from the event people at Jay. The Jay Jam will be February 5-7, with riders arriving on the 5th and riding the 6th and 7th.

We have asked for rates on slopeside accommodations and dining but we need a ballpark number of attendees to get our options. Please reply here or send an email to jayjam@enurshia.com and let us know what you plan to do. We will post more details as they become available.

And just to give y'all an update. As I've mentioned in other posts, I am now living in Boulder, CO. The move and other obligations have put Enurshia on the backburner but we are still out here. We do still have some shirts from last year and are starting to get our ideas in order for 2009-10. We will hopefully be back up and running by the end of August but please email info@enurshia.com or PM me if you have any questions.

Thank you all for your support and we look forward to a great winter riding with you!

Well, since we now know about that path over to the edge, we should have plenty of time to hit that area and find that other drop again. First, however, I need to go off that rock with some confidence...I hope.

But that's OK, you made it look better then I could (stupid ankle)..

I'm gonna rip it up this year!

Also, I definitely agree that we need to hit the back country more this year. That far right side "out of bounds" that we rode in on the last day was AMAZING!

AMAZING !! I mean it. I could spend my entire day in that stuff. Like riding a cloud.

It's gonna be a long winter...

The main problem with that rock is the fact that it looks so much higher when you're standing on top. It makes one question the how hale one's joints really are.

Is anyone from southern Ontario going? I'm at school (UWO, if there's a Canuck or two floating around here) in London, but I can travel to meet you anywhere from here to Niagara (my actual home). Hell, even if you're from upstate NY I can probably get to you.

I've only been out a few times, but hopefully I'll be a bit more versed by the time February rolls around. :)

I was watching Comedy Central today and Beerfest came on. Not sure how many of you if any that made it to the meet last year remember this but Beerfest was on for most of the time that we were all hanging out in the farm house last year. Terrible movie but it just brought back the memories and feelings of chilling with all the cool guys at the cool crooked house. So, yeah, I am starting to obsess over the events already even though there is about a 3 month period before we even start meeting up.

It's On!

The Jay Peak events people finally got back to us about lodging options. We need to know how many are coming to figure out the slopeside accommodations. If you do not want slopeside and would prefer an off hill house, we can investigate that as well.

To refresh, we are planning on Feb 5-7, with people arriving Friday the 5th and departing Sunday the 7th. But feel free to stay longer!

Below is an overview of what we could get and how much it would be per person. The cost ranges from $250 to $325 per person depending upon occupancy and includes 2 nights lodging and 2.5 days of riding. This seems comparable to what we all paid for the event last year but gives the convenience of being on site.

Slopeside Condos
Located on Jay Peak’s trail system, offering true ski in/out access along Queen’s Highway.
2 bedroom units: Master: (Queen) & Guest Bedroom (Twin, Twin or bunk bed)
Max occupancy of 6 people, if utilizing the pullout sofa-bed.
Kitchen, dining area, living room, and 1 bathroom.
Units have washer/dryer, fireplace, DVD player, and cable tv.
Towels and linens are provided by the resort.
DSL internet is offered in all units.
Jacuzzis and sauna are located at the Hotel Jay. These facilities are open to all guests staying at Jay Peak.

Package Price Includes:
2 Nights lodging
2.5 Days of lifts

2 people - $650 ($325pp)

3 people - $900 ($300pp)

4 people - $1,100 ($275pp)

5 people - $1,250 ($250pp)

6 people - $1,400 ($233pp)

So who’s in and what are your expectations?

DennisEvans

I think I should be able to go...for some reason it seems more expensive than last year but then again on slope lodging and 2.5 days or riding actually makes it cheaper in comparison. I will definately be in if we can get 6 people in my room...would make it much easier for me to make it.

It is a little more, but you will be right off the trail. So you're paying that extra for fewer hassles.

I too am down for the cheapest price. The farm house was good price wise but on the second day it was hard getting to the hill with the weather (Joe and Brian know what I'm talking about) so I wanna say slopeside.......it would save on food/drinks as well since we can just stop in and grab something real quick and get back out..........I still gotta see about the ride situation though...pm's from me forthcoming to a few of you........

Whatever people want to do is fine with us. I just need to know the head count and commitment level for everyone. Especially for the slopeside because we need to confirm those soon or they might be taken.

Lets make this easier. If you plan to come, email JayJam@enurshia.com with the following

Name - forum and real.
Location Prefrence - Slopeside or off site.
People you may be traveling/rooming with.
Approximate budget you had in mind.
Date of arrival and departure.
And anything else you might want to mention.

We will do our best to meet all requests. I need to have as close to a final headcount as possible in the next week.

Post questions here or email JayJam@enurshia.com.

Subaru AWD FTW!

Talon, I did the math, last year it cost us $55 a night to stay at the house and $48 a day to ski fro a grand total of $163 or $211...with the trail side lodging with this we get 2 nights of lodging and 2 and a half full days of riding for pretty much the same price if we would stay at the farm house...I probably won't get there early enough on friday for the extra day to work but if we can get 6 people to a room and get the price down to $233 then we would be good.

Trail side is the best possible option in my opinion.

No updates. I've been in communication with Jay and there is still plenty of slopeside availability. Everything is moving, jsut slowly becuase I've been busy the past month

I will try and get everything organized this week and post details of what is needed. Depending on what we do, we're going to need at least $600 down to secure everything.

I have everyone's email and will start communicating with everyone that way after the update post here. This includes you, Talon. So if you have not expressed any interest yet, or if you're in the maybe column, please email jayjam@enurhsia.com so we count you in the total.

Ahhhhh. I get it now. Thanks for pointing that out! Talon, it is jayjam@enurshia.com. Sorry about that!

6 people - $1,400 ($233pp)

These are estimates and could be higher or lower depending on our final total.

So based on these numbers, please email me some proposed roomate options and I will get as many of the requests as possible. And if the majority would like to look off the hill, we can do that too. Either way, email us - jayjam@enurshia.com - and we'll figure something out.

Right, the more people you can room with, the better it will be. I'll note the potential rooms as they are sent to me and I will review it all before we finalize anything.

And we will need a deposit to secure the room as well. Once things get a little more concrete, I will know what we need to give them. But it will be at least $600 down to secure the rooms.

Yes, that is right. If you have no friends, expect to be very lonely and pay a lot more. :)

Seriously, we will figure it all out. Part of this trip is meeting new people, soIi wouldhope there is no issues with rooming!

Once I see the proposed rooming that y'all provide, I will make suggestions. Once everyone is happy, we will secure the units. I hope to get tihs all done over the next week, so if you are coming, let me know soon.

As always, please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

how are things looking with this? This seems like something I could make at the cheaper rate listed. Still around $233pp potentially? Is it all filled up yet?

Wife has approved that, but I just would need to check with work to get the day off, which really shouldn't be a problem since it's only 1 day to take off and I still have over 3 weeks vacation ready to go.

Thanks! I hope I can be a part of this.

Working out the details with the Jay Peak events people. They are a sekeltal crew right now becuase of the holiday.

Will have totals soon, but as I mentioned before, I would plan on $400-$500 to set aside for the trip. That should cover all costs getting to and from as well as food, lodging, and riding.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Ian, I think SkiboardPlanet will make it this year but we can only come for 1 day so we'll probably just drive up on Friday night and get a room at the hotel and spend Saturday with you guys.

Hope that's all cool....

how are things looking with this? This seems like something I could make at the cheaper rate listed. Still around $233pp potentially? Is it all filled up yet?

Wife has approved that, but I just would need to check with work to get the day off, which really shouldn't be a problem since it's only 1 day to take off and I still have over 3 weeks vacation ready to go.

Thanks! I hope I can be a part of this.

ok, I can officially go now. I have my permission slip from the wife and from work! :)

I'm really looking forward to this!

Yeah, I've been thinking about JayJam too.

we're gonna have to start making finalized plans real soon.. (travel arrangements ((who's riding with who)), rooming preparations ((who's sleepin' where)), etc..)

I know Ian's been real busy, and we all appreciate everything he's doing for us.

Just wondering how things are coming along.

Ian, if there's anything I can do to help. Give me a shout.

A'ight. Yes, Have been way too busy and I just found out I can't even make it this year. I have a trip back to the main office that was supposed to be that week, but it was recently pushed to mid February.

That being said, the Jay Jam is still on. Jason will be there for Enurshia to help things stay organized, but since this is more a meetup than a planned event, I don’t see any issues popping up.

As of now I have this list of people who have contacted me. If I missed you, post here or send me an email to be added.

I just need to know how the rooms would be broken down. There is a 6 person max per unit. Approx $325 for double occupancy and gets down to about $250 for 6 people per condo. Again this covers room and lift.
As stated in other posts, it is getting close to crunch time. So, by Monday, please send me a list of who would be rooming with whom so I know how many rooms to secure.

Also, there will be some sort of deposit to make. I will help manage all this, but someone staying in the unit might need to sign off on it since I won’t be able to attend.

Ty, I'm sure that will be fine. You can prob just kick a few bucks to the people renting the condos or chip in for food or something. I'm sure it will work out.

As for rooming, we just need to know how many units to reserve. Maybe begin with late night peeps and early risers as a way to choose who stays where?

Because I dragged my feet too long, we are past the down payment window. The contract I saw said we would need full payment 20 days before the trip. We are about one month away, so that means once we finalize how many units, we will have to collect the entire amount as soon as possible. Not a huge deal, just more hurried than previous years.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

We, (CrazyBoy-1 and I) will join you from there.

Now, is Talon riding with us or did he find other methods ???
---- Talon, Respond, Please

And, depending on if we have the Excusion and or are providing room for Talon.

We might have room for one or two more. (just putting it out there)

--- Planned route will be PA 78 east, NJ 287 north, NY 87 north all the way to Plattsburg, NY and then east for the last leg ---

Brick, if we're using the excursion, make sure there can be other drivers besides you. You shouldn't have to drive the whole time like last year to NH. I have a perfect driving record if that helps. I'm used to staying up late from working 2nd shift, so I've volunteered to drive the first leg.

Hey Ian,

Just a general question that others might be wondering as well.

-- The package we are getting:

includes 3 lift tickets (Friday afternoon, Saturday all day, and Sunday all day)

and also 2 nights stay in slopeside lodge's

correct?

-- exactly what time do the Friday lift tickets allow us to get on the chair?
( I want to plan our PA departure time to result in the optimal arrival time at Jay )

-- and what time can we get into the lodge?

-- lastly, how and when do we acquire our stuff (tickets / lodge vouchers)
When r you expecting payment?

thanks, James

This is what they sent me...

2 Nights lodging (in this case Friday and Saturday night)
2.5 Days of lifts (I can confirm, but I think the half day starts around 12:30 and lifts will close around 3:30-ish. )

Not sure what check in time is, but I would think later in the afternoon. So likely you could ride and then check in right after that.

And chatting with Jay Peak today to see how they want to do it. it might make sense for each unit rented to work with them directly. Payment will be due soon since the date is so close. But I should have more details later today.

viper99jk
01-13-2010, 01:59 PM
great... thanks for the info.

And as far as the payment thing and making reservations...

I think it would make most sense if you delegate the accomadations out to the group liaisons.

At least I speak for myself.

I can take care of PA-MD

(can you give me a contact there to finallize my group)
(maybe forward me one of the e-mails that you've been corresponding with them)

Also, aside from riding the mountian and having an awesome time...

.. is there any other planned activities for the entire group?

maybe since you are not gonna be there, we'll just sortta do our own thing. I'm not sure what to expect as far as a large scale meet-up.

And this event has always been very low key. Even with a lot of people, this is more of a meetup than anything. Jay Peak area does not have many off slope things to do, but after a long day ridingthe woods, your room is going to sond really good. :)

The "Jay Cloud" is there most of the time and responsible for the glorious amounts of snow it gets. Magical place indeed.

And the place you went to was in Montgomery. It is on the other side of the hill and is the closest place with any semblance of civilization. You can also go into Newport. About 15-20 minute drive. They have a lot of restaurants. Some are even good!

-

Yeah I agree, In my opinion, we really need to find 5 or 6 more to make it work.

I am really bummed that we didn't know earlier that we needed 15 total to get the rates that were projected, or it might not have been such a huge deal here in the end.

Unfortunately I don't see that we are gonna be able to find 5 or 6 more people at this late notice. Adding the required 3 would still either cause a few of the people to pay a high rate (at $300 pp for a triple occupancy)
or splitting the difference among us all would increase the rates from $233 pp to $247 pp (for 15 pp splitting the total bill), not horrible, but its still more than I was planning on.

In my opinion, any skier or even snowboarder friend would be more than welcome to join us, (if its gonna give us the 6 extra people that we would need to make this a fun and affordable trip). Its not like its a "skiboard only" rally. Its just a meet-up where we're gonna have a lot of fun with some great people in some awesome conditions. Heck, maybe we'll convert a few!! :)

Well, this is my last ditch effort to save this thing. I really have been looking forward to this trip and hope it'll pull through. But, if for some reason we can't make JayPeak Resort fly, I'm willing to put in some time and effort to scrounge up a "farmhouse option". It would need to be attempted very soon though, like next week, if I'm gonna find any availabilities.

So, let me know what you guys think.... any friends to add to our trip, or other skiboarders from the forum that want to jump in on a awesome meet, or even the "farmhouse option".

I originally voted for the resort thinking that the number of people would be similar to last year, and that it would be nice to be all together for apre skiboarding time. If memory serves me, we had around two dozen skiboarders last time, and we were in two very seperate hoses. This year is much smaller, and we could easily all fit into a large house similar to the farmhouse last year. We'd have to get tickets ourselves, but perhaps there are coupons available to help out again? The resort sounds really nice, and I don't want all of Ian's work to go for nothing, but the "farmhouse" option is looking somewhat appealing from a financial standpoint. All I need is enough floorspace for my air mattress and a way to get to the slopes.

I agree, I just need enough space to lay down and plug in my computer so I'm cool

I've been wanting to say FARMHOUSE for the last week, but figured I'd sound like a broken record from a few pages back in this thread. This trip cost me around $200ish last year with lodging, food, gas, and lift (1 day). WAY more attractive.

Cause at $275 plus gas and food I'm a have to pull out. I'll show up to ride for the day Sat since it's a 1.5hr drive for me to Jay.

I'm not backing out. I mean, I am willing to do what is going to work for everyone. I just want to say that I don't mind the 2 6-person rooms either. Heck, if we can get 3 more and get a third room, I don't mind paying a little bit extra to stay in the 3rd room either. Whatever is going to work and not screw anyone over. I would rather pay the $275 for 2.5 days riding than $200 for 1 day of riding. Gas and food will add more for sure, but I'm not driving as far as most of you I don't think.

Nobody, back out!!

We still have time to resolve this.

I have been contacting other options "farmhouse" to see what might be available. And there are a few out there. In the tune of about $100 pp for two nights.

If we can find bogo Lift tix like last year that's another $60-70 for two days lift and then you have food and gas on top of that. Food, maybe $20-40, and gas can vary from $25-50 depending on your situation.

That looks like between $200 and possibly as much as $260 if things are slightly more.

But that's the TOTAL wrap-up.

Jay Lodging at best would be $233 pp + food and gas, the the awesome advantages would be that we're on-slope and have an extra 1/2 day lift. (which I was really excited about)

Could anyone come up with a friend or two that would get us up to the 15 total?

we really need to find the extras quick or we're gonna have to go to the back-up plan.

Ok, Keep posting!

I'll ask a few of my friends if they want to join in. The Farmhouse from last year is booked, but this one is available: http://www.jaypeakskiing.com/vacation-rentals.php?property=25

At $1000 (be more like $1200) for 2 night /12 that's a freaking good deal. I have three 2 for 1 coupons, and this guy gets them to me in a week (NJ to Montreal): http://myworld.ebay.ca/mveby/

So break it down to $100 for 2 nights lodging, $37ea a day of riding, and you've got $174 with 2 days of riding. That's a good price diff there...

Man, there better be some really good conditions up there after all this. If I hadn't already committed to it, I'd be tempted to bail and just concentrate on the Midwest Meet for my powder riding this year. Hopefully we can get those three people we need.

We have always met this time of year becuase it typically has the best chance of freshies. but the woods at Jay can sometimes be better with hard pack Since it it east coast shoulder shoulder woods, you can get a roller coaster like sensation as you fly down already established paths. And as long as you keep thinking to yourself, well, someome else made these tracks and unless I fall on a dead body, this path is a good one.

But short answer, you will have a great time no matter what. Feb in VT is peak times. And it is one week before the school breaks, so you got that going for you too.

Let me know if you need more reassurance. It's killing me to not make it this year! Not even once! But, again, ain't too bad living in the shadow of the rockies.

Just catching up with all this. I feel bad that I am not there to manage this better. I was not aware of any minimums, but they knew we had about 20 people last year, so they might not of thought to say anything. Sorry about that, I passed it along as soon as I got his email.

That being said, the estimates I had were $40-$50 more than the group rate. More, I know, but being on the hill is worth that. Especially if it snows. You will be right there.

But you/we/I can def find some sort of rental house if $ is more of a concern.

Please let me know how I can help.

I always wanted to go to VT at this time of the year. and I appreciate all of your work to organize this event. well, i tried to organize the list of people who are going. if I am wrong, please fix them. this is getting little too confusing as everyone has different lists i think.
and i think we need to keep them with either ID or name (using both ID and name is just too confusing. for those like me who do not know the all the names of people)

Ian.cap is Ian of Enurshia. He's not coming. Your second list is actually just three people. Mctwist, Csmithy/Chris, and xxjzattaxx/Jersey Joe. That's 17 people if I'm counting correctly.

Brian is correct about the discount tickets with a season pass from another mountain. I'm almost positive that Talon did that last year, and I was thinking of that as a backup for myself if we end up doing the "farmhouse" option and are limited with the number of coupons.

Speaking of Talon, he's one of the others who haven't chimed in yet. I'll send him a text to check this thread. If others with the right numbers want to do the same with Joe, Chris, Mctwist, etc. we can get everyone's input on this.

Ian, I apologize for sounding negative about the conditions. I was having a bad night at work when I posted that. Last year there hadn't been much fresh snow before the first day, and I still had a great time. Sunday was even better with a few inches of fresh stuff, but overall the glades seem to be good.

Again, sorry about that. This move to CO has proved a little difficult for me to help. Guess we should do the Boulder Bash next year, eh?

CrazyBoy-1, no worries. Just trying to get you pumped for Jay. I lived up there for about 10 years and it is hard to have a bad day.

This event has never been anything but a social gathering. It is not a comp and was never meant to be. It has grown a lot over the years, but it has always been about the people. Hell, the first year was just me and Mark! So even if two people make it up there and ride, it is worth it. We are a small community and as our numbers grow, these loose confederations are harder to keep intimate. But that should not discourage participation. It sounds like quite a few people are going to make the schlep up. And although a trip to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is never convenient, it is always epic.

OK. Here's where we are at. Since we could not come up with the 15 minimum, some research was done for off slope lodging. viper99jk found a great place that houses 12 and costs around $600. It is about 20 minutes away and close to the only amenities in the area. Based on the feedback we’ve gotten, this seems to be the best option because of the cost. The 12 people how have committed to the trip will get first dibs on the beds and those traveling from nearby (looking at you Ty) will help pitch in what they can and grab some couch or air mattress. Unless someone feels like getting cozy. But that’s neither here nor there. So if the 12 people decide to go, the cost will be VERY reasonable. If some choose to stay at Jay for the full pop, the cost at this house will still be reasonable.

I will also be passing the lodging responsibility to viper99jk (James). We have been talking for the past week and he has really stepped up to make this happen. So, from this point, please send your lodging questions to him. His plan is to get the total due and then collect the money through paypal. He will sign the rental agreement and handle the logistics of making the payment to the owners.

Again, I apologize for the lack of organization this year. As I said, this event was always about riding and meeting the people on this board. As sad as I am to make it this year, I am so happy to see this event carry on. Jay Peak is a magical place. Especially for the East Coast. And seeing the army of skiboarders descend on the hill is something I will sorely miss.

As always, I am here to help any way I can. As we’ve learned this season, that is a little limited now. But I will always do what I can to move our sport forward. If anyone has any questions about the area, getting to Jay, or anything else, please let me know.

And to those going, take lots of pics and video! That is something we always slacked on because our focus was having fun.

also If you require a discount Lift tix of some sort, or already have a pass

Lastly, And this is VERY IMPORTANT!

-
I am asking that there be absolutely NO ALCOHOL in the rental house or on the property.
There already is NO Smoking in the house. (you can smoke outside if you need to)
I'm sure there are local bars if you feel the desire for a drink. Please don't come back to the house plastered either.

The reason being, (besides that fact that we're going up there to SkiBoard, and you don't want to miss out on Sunday just cuz your hung-over) there is a significant portion of our group that are minors.
Brick and I have also extended this trip to our younger brothers and want to share this fun experience with them, with out exposing them to any of that kinda behavior.

Thanks for being willing to comply with this.

Once I post up again I'll let you know how much to PayPal to me for the lodging. It should be close to $50 pp.

my PayPal and email are the same: jnlkopp@yahoo.com

feel free to ask any questions you got, I'll try to find out the answers and post promptly. Also, you can still hit up Ian with any issues too.

I don't know why the email didn't work.

I got all the others ok.

Are you sure you typed it in correctly?

As far as your dad, make sure you decide quickly. I don't want to have more than 14 or 15 in the house. I think it'll get too full too quick.

L8R

worst case we can share a bed or bring an air matress too. hes checking in work schedule tomorrow he says. I copied and pasted the email. so idk either. but whatever. as long as you got it were good.

Here's the list as of now.

..as you can see, we have 12 confirmed..

I have not heard from Ty yet, and bec is going to let me know about his dad hopefully today.

Once I get word from them I will post up the amount pp for lodging. most likely tomorrow sometime.

(attention Ian)
The majority of our group is in need of the BOGO lift tix's, so Ian if you read this, well need 11 to 13 coupons.

And if you could all check out his thread - link (http://www.skiboardsonline.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=9348&referrerid=2392)- Tim has put together some realy good points. We want everyone who's going along to have a fun and safe time. Preparing for the trip the correct way can make all the difference.

Don't worry man. Tim is just a planner.

He didn't want to overspend his "budget" for the trip, so he sent me $100 already, I'll give him back the difference.

It will most likely be $50. TOTAL

that's for lodging only. food and travel will be on you, and we are in the process of finding BOGO's, also on you.

You're good!

LOL... I wish.

Groomsmen is easy, let me break it down.
1. Pin flower to one's self.
2. Stand at door, seat people on side relevant to groom/bride.
3. Walk up aisle when pointed at, preferably with best looking bridesmaid
3. Stand in line according to height next to groom.
4. Walk down aisle approx 20sec after the guy in front of you does.

DONE! Why miss Jay Jam to rehearse all this?! :D

A quick note on the passes; I was on Jay's website and noticed that I can get a 2-day pass for $84 with my season pass to Bear Creek. That's a savings of $50, which isn't too bad. It's not as good as the $67 you'd save with a bogo coupon, but it's still a nice chunk of change. I just wanted to throw that out there for anyone else who has a season pass to somewhere.

I actually asked the groom and he told me that although it would be nice if I was able to make it to the dinner, it's not absolutey required so I am coming!

Is everyone going to skiboard the entire trip, or are some going to ski/snowboard for part of it? I was hoping to get a little snowboarding in ( I'm a complete noob at it ).

Paul, is this a close friend? I'm guessing, although we're joking about you skipping it, that it's probably more important (to them) for you to be at the dinner than go on a "stupid skiboarding" trip. At least that's probably what the bride will say and what the groom is thinking...... just my $0.02 although I don't know the situation. :)

Get a 4th person and I'll order 6 BOGO's.

That would give us 12 passes, 3 per person.

Real quick guys (PA-MD's), about the Friday evening skiing.

We need to decide if we're leaving at midnight on Thursday to arrive by 11am on Friday for a half afternoon on the slope.

Or, are we gonna leave at a less ungodly hour, like 9am on Friday to just arrive at the farmhouse and relax / prepare for the next two hard days of riding?

I can do either, but we just need to plan it out now cuz there are a bunch of us coordinating together.

Includes:

James
Jon
Jordan
Tim
Thomas
Sam
Jeaho
Paul

but I am little worried about Elkcloner. we will rotate around and drive but don't you think it'll be little dangerous? i know i might fall asleep...
unless there are enough confident NIGHT drivers.

harrysiii

yeah, that'll be a long night/day for you guys!

CrazyBoy-1
01-25-2010, 08:15 PM
I prefer to drive at night actually. I work second shift, so I'd be coming right off of my shift and ready to go for several more hours. I'd be more than happy to take the first driving shift.

Paul
01-25-2010, 08:40 PM
I work till midnight, so I'm used to being awake late, so I am good either way. However, for those that are driving at night ( I will volunteer ) sleeping would probably be more of a priority than riding when we arrive.

viper99jk
01-25-2010, 09:53 PM
I've come to the decision that I'd prefer to drive during the day on Friday. Leaving between 8 & 9 am, and arriving around 7pm at the farmhouse.

I think all the extra hassle would not be worth the added 3 or 4 hrs of ride time Friday afternoon.

This way we can travel with no strict deadline, arrive at the house with time to settle in, get a good nights sleep and hit the slopes fresh and ready.

Besides the fact that people won't have to have been trying to sleep in the truck and day time driving will be easier on the drivers.

Sorry PA-MD guys if you were really looking forward to the extra 1/2 day.

So Brick, Sam, and Jeaho will have to leave MD sometime around 6 or 7am Friday morning. Is that cool? And pick us up 8 or 9ish. Then coordinate to meet Paul in NY at about 11 to noon.
-
-
If you guys are ok with this, let me know!

Paul, your back in now right? I'll update the attendance chart.

Thanks, James

what about elkcloner, his bro, me and paul??

I think this is the best idea.

We need to pair up.

GOM and Bec should each get a ticket. That takes care of both days for them.

Tim and I will share a ticket each.

Jon and Jordan - share

Brick and Sam - share

Jeaho and Paul - share

I see 10 tix's right there.

The rest of you should coordinate for yourselves.

Harry and ChaseMe are good to go. I believe that's every one!

So before any one in the first (10) list buy them for a fee. Let me hear from Ian first. If he can not get them for us. Then we should have one person pick them up and we'll all pay him. It could be me again, I don't mind.

I'll let you know asap!

L8R, James

There's actually no need to share the BOGO if we are riding for 2 days. If we each get a BOGO, then we each get 2 days of riding.... unless we can save on shipping for the coupons =)

James, I'm back in for this trip.

CrazyBoy-1
01-25-2010, 11:46 PM
Paul, unless these coupons are different from the ones we had last year, they can't be used to purchase two tickets for two different days. We had that idea last year, but both tickets must be for the same day, so we ended up pairing up. One guy buys the first day, and the other guy buys on the second day. Each one gets a free day of riding.
