Nice description of skiboarding from one of the skateboard forums .. from a couple of years ago ... ( only one correction .. telemark boots don't work well in standard non release skiboard bindings ), ps .. I do agree that once you move off the groomers into the off piste environment skiboarding has a lot of the challenge and feel of telemarking to me .. just like I had to learn my balance over again with telemark skis compared to regular alpine skis .. so again I had to learn a new kind of sweet spot on skiboards in the backcountry or off piste .. the balance is more challenging and difficult at first than on big skis but in the end the rewards are endless.... I loved telemarking , I even loved telemarking on skiboards , but now it is just regular skiboarding , it is more than enough ,
"powerful adventure " indeed !!

"Also known as snowblades, these are two-foot skis that are typicly equiped with a non-releasable or telemark binding. While at first glance, one tends not to take these seriously; laugh not! These are amazingly cool tools. The Primary advantages you ask?:
#1: High manuverability; you can swerve in and out of trees with the grace of a ballet dancer.
#2: Extreme mobile and portability factor; being only two feet long, these easly strap to a day bag or mountaineering pack for ease of transportation.
#3: High versatility; standard binding accepts alpine, nordic, AT, Telemark, and most notably, mountaineering expedition hardboot. what does this mean?
After a hard day of enjoyable ice climbing, one can remove ones crampons from the pack and don skiboards for an enjoyable and otherwise missed backcountry ridding experiance.
Ah, but alas you say! look at the shortness! Surely they must sink to the depths upon riddance of pow! But No! This is not the case as just in telemarking there lies the sweet spot, so too, with skiboards is this to be found! True it it that the green bunnies must be prepaired for Punslumping, But needless worry may not be inflicted upon thier expert cousins, for they wilst not be pondering the frolic ponds of yore, but instead will have upon a fixed steady gaze at the cliffs of books and double diamonds battlefronts for which only the best may pry.
So fear not! Amatures need not apply, but to those in the know, they shall be provided with days and weeks of profound powerfull adventure!
