All longboarders,

Time for all of us to start shaking the trees for some decent longboard skiboard bags. I need something that hauls my Sherpa's and Lacroix 125's in style. I need quality, looks, padding, pockets, shoulder straps, handles and embroidered logo's.

We don't have to take this anymore guys. We are being ignored and possibly outright discriminated against. We have the power. I say we stop being the strong, silent types and start harassing the hell out of some folks. We want bags!

Would be pretty awesome. The 140cm bag on here isn't too bad, but a bag with all of that would be better. I just don't need a bag too much, as Sherpas fit into my roof rack, and I don't do much plane travel.

SkaFreak,

I also own that bag. I do not want to be unduly harsh but my opinion is it is nothing more than a modern material version of a burlap bag. What is there that represents any real thought or quality? Nothing. It's just the right size - that's all. I don't give points for something not being a complete POS. The material seems to be quality and the zipper works. What else can be said? It offers no protection, no convenience nor anything that equals thought towards what it is intended to haul. It's just a sack with a zipper. Where's the internal cinch straps? The padding? The pockets for little things? The nod towards saying "I'm a quality item" with things like quality lining, embroidered logo and what have you? It's not there. A fabulous example exists elsewhere in different sizes. I know I'm about to mention a competing website but only because the product and name are inextricably tied together but the skiboard.com bag is absolutely everything I've mentioned. I could care less what name is on something. Call it Bo and Skeeter's longboard bag. Charge a price just this side gouging. I'm good with that. Just make it.

Well, time to own up. In my last post I said I did not want to be unduly harsh and then proceeded to be exactly that. I would have continued. I wanted to continue. But, my monitor took on a dark hue, on-screen words began to dance a bit and what I was writing carried a clearly foul odor. Modern technology in the form of a glucometer told me what dignity in a past time would have - that I was being an ass. Blood sugar = 17. Just a tad below optimal. Mars Inc. to the rescue in the form of a Snickers bar. Unfortunately for me, all too appropriately named company producing the physical representation of an all too circumstantially appropriate verb - Snickers . Good grief.

I believe both Wendall and myself use the same bag to carry our stuff, the Burton 156cm Wheelie Gig snowboard bag.

Like I said, it isn't too bad for my purposes. The one time I needed the protection and cinch straps for the bag, I threw em in myself. Picked up a $5 fleece blanket to wrap the boards in and took some velcro straps to hold the boards together. Sure it's not elegant, or as convienint as it would be if they were all in one nice package, but doable for the time being.

Yes, I use the Burton bag. Mine is the non wheelie version. The padding is first rate.

Dont really want a bag that costs as much as my boards. For me, a bag is just disposable protection for the boards when flying. Check out big sports chains for bags intended to carry golf clubs when flying.
