back flip

Yo ive been ridin for 3 yrs now and got some spinning and most grabs down. how do i prepare/ train for a back or a front flip? i wanna go big its my way.....

trampolien...and make sure to do backflips first. they r much more natural than front flips. its not hard, u just have to have the guts

Yes, they're not hard from a technical perspective, but you need to do a few things:

1) Be convinced of what you're going to do, be sure you want to do it and feel ready for it. If you have the slightest doubt don't go for it.

2) Commit to it, if you freak out at the last second the results will be much worse than going for it and landing in a bad way.

3) Try it in powder first if you get the chance. Build a small kicker (you need a much smaller jump than you really think) and make sure the kicker is steep and shoots you high rather than long.

4) Use your head to command the rest of your body, tilt it back as much as you can, remember to get your knees as high as you can and really the rest will come by itself.

4) Wear protections

i can backflip jumping in pools, from 3meters high rocks in river, sometimes on ground but i still not doing it on snow ...
even with my own backountry kicker and 60cm of fresh powder...

i would have thought doing a front flip is more natural. on a trampoline that is easier than a back flip

yea that and besides the backfilp..... Spins man i over spin sometimes under spin others should i work on that b4 doing an inverted spin........ BTW thanks to you guys that went to creek you guys cut up those 3 jumps at south so sick....... and then to that rail. its crazy man
