Hi everybody!

Iīm planning to remove the 8-hole-plastic bindings from my skiboards and upgrade them with the Spruce Riser releasable system. Now I need some advice on how the stainless steel inserts have to be installed into the boards. What type of inserts are needed? I also read somewhere else that the inserts have to be installed through the bases and this is confusing me a little bit?!? I will let my local ski shop do the custom work, but I donīt think that they have much experience with skiboards and want to be sure, that they will make it in the correct way.

I would appreciate if someone shares his experience on this topic.

Thanks for your help!

Hey Mac...I don't know if you can just put inserts in can you? Doesnt that need to be done during manufactuing? Some people screw new bindings right into the boards but that is NOT!!! and I stress NOT!!! recomended at all. I would just buy new boards with the correct four hole pattern.Maybe the ski shop can put in new inserts though. As for experience with skiboards...if the ski shop does skis than no worries about them workin on your skiboards. They are both pretty much made the same way.

Be sure that this skishop is a trusted ski place. and if you are getting your boards waxed/sharpened at the same time tell them to do it like a snowboard, that is the best way to go.

I would love to get a pair of these Line Mike Nick Pro from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1303&item=7131718763&rd=1

But unfortunately they donīt sell them outside the US! :(
And itīs nearly impossible to find any skiboards with the standard 4 hole mounting pattern here in Germany.
Thatīs the reason why I was thinking about modifiing my old pair of skiboards with the inserts, but it seems to be a complicated task to install the inserts through the bottom of the boards and then repair the bases afterwards!?

That sucks....order some boards from SBOL...boards only if you already have bindings.

Hey Mac, they DO ship those boards on ebay world wide. I got a pair from them shipped to Uk in Jan no problem. Works out a bit expensive but they are just gorgeous. What boards do you want to fit inserts into?

Hi valmorel!

Are you sure you bought your boards from the same ebay seller? Because the shipping policy says: "Available to United States only"! I will keep on looking if someone sells them worldwide, but I think there canīt be a lot of new and unused Line boards left, where have they been over the last three years?!?

I wanted to fit inserts to my Blizzard Carvelino B skiboards, but now I decided first to try to get some good quality boards with the standard 4 hole pattern and keep my old ones as backup or for friends who want to try skiboarding.

So if someone sees them on ebay available to worldwide sale, please send me a email or post it here! :-)

Thanks for the tip valmorel, I will get in contact with him. By the way, what have you paid for your MNPs? How much was the shipping? And I suppose that you also had to pay some import tax, right?
