I assume you are using the leashes that wrap around your leg? What I used to do when I used those was to put them on around my boot, then twist the loop that is around the boot about halfway around, that way some of the length coils up around your ankle. Then you can pull the buckle tight to keep it from sliding back around. Another possible option would be to cut some of the length off the leash and sew the end buckle back on at a length that works better for you. Last, you could upgrade you leashes to something like the SnowJam Pro Coil Leashes (http://www.skiboardsonline.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=snjmproleash&Category_Code=protection&Product_Count=2) which are unfortunately sold out at SBOL currently.

I used to use the same trick that Ska suggested, but now I use the SnowJam Pro Coils. One thing you can do also is to attach the leashes to the toe bail. I know that they are traditionally attatch to the heel bail, but going up to the toe will help stretch out some of that length. I actually hook up my coil leashes that way to keep them nice and tight next to the boots.

Also, if you attach the leashes to the top of the toe bail it'll help hold them from coming undone

I also use a simple coil type leash that has a metal clasp on either end , the front clasp i attach to the front bail , it is easy to snap off and transfer to other skiboards , so I only need one leash .

I wrap the leash around my boot and attach the clasp to the coil like this ..
everything remains very snug

Yeah, that's one of the nice things about any leash with a clip like that. I have mine attached to my boots all the time, and I just clip onto the bindings of whatever boards I'm riding at the time.

Made another set today for my other boards, $3 worth of hardware from THD

mine are like a strap with a carabiner type thing on one end and a clip on the other end. they arent stretchy or anything so im just trying to get them on and off easy
