idk i could be wrong but you are going to have major differences cause their are a few pairs of solomans (not the mini max's) that really dont have a side cut and your going to a snowjam which has a huge side cut so turn will be a little hairy for you for the first few days, youll get used to it, the second thing is wider you have more control with if you can use your edges properlyas far as getting on them it will take a little more "uhmph" to get on them then it was with a skinner skiboard, last thing is (i might be wrong) the bend is a little different because solomns use a foam core like k2 i belive and the bend will be a little different but that really shouldnt effect too much unless your going striaght on to the pipe, rials, or some major hits tats it for me

i switched back to my salomons after skiing all year on line pro's. i used them to go down a little hill infront of my house off a jump during a storm. the salomon's are nothing compared to the pro's and u really realize it after trying the salomons again.

I would stick with your new snojams. They are going to be waaaaaay more stable all around than any solomon "snowblades". Any pair of skis solomon makes are NOT skiboards. The snowjam cores are wood and are constructed VERY well. If you are a beginer just learning how to hit jumps/rails then these are excellent boards. Although they don't get much credit I have not heard too many complaints from people that own them and the extreme 2 bindings are suprisingly solid as well.

I feel that the snowjams are perfect for people really getting interested in skiboarding, and want to improve their skills after they have realized the salomons are now good enough. Yeah i like the ext. 2's actually alot.
