This may be a shot-in-the-dark question, but I was curious as to how skiboard art designs get created, finalized, and put into production.
Are there a set of artists who design them? Are there contests? How can one participate in designing art for a skiboard? :D

I would say ask Greco. Either PM him or email him. I know that Kirk and Dave Cox both have made designs in the past so i think G would be open.

But feel free to design your own graphics anyhow.

Should do a 'peoples choice' skiboard. Have G set up a poll and have everyone here on the forums vote for length, width & flex, and then have a contest to have someones graphics put on it. That'd be cool IMO

Great idea! I'd be sure as hell participating!
I think member dcox20 does the designs from his title.

Hi Bri_guy,
All of the R8 graphics are done by skiboarders or friends of skiboarders. (see individual board descriptions for more details) If you have an idea just email me a rough draft and I'll give you my input... greco@skiboardsonline.com

I would say it seems like we pretty much have all of the perfect lengths/widths figured out already. Greco pretty much has the entire skiboard lineup covered....anything smaller than 75 wouldn't sell enough to be worth it....and anything bigger than 110 is handled by spruce.
As far as graphics go....the people that would most likely win already make boards for Revel8 :)

ty makes good points and typically it costs ten of thousands to develop a new model.
