Just got back from 2 weeks in Meribel France and it was wicked!!

Took my new BGP's with Spruce Risers and they performed very well. Had no problems with pre-release apart from one occaision carving from powder to ice at high speed...got bad judders on both feet going sideways for about 10m when I hit the ice, and both boards pinged off!!

Had one board release after i buried the tip at high speed (very glad it came off - I hate to think of the damage to my leg otherwise).

Been hitting jumps and not had any unwanted release...

Used the BGP's off piste every day - was lucky enough to have deep powder and beautiful sunshine, love the feeling of steering down deep powder up on the rear tips...very cool!

Love going backwards, seem to be able to see better looking over my left shoulder rather than my right which makes proper carving backwards hard as I can't always see where I'm going! Guess thats just more practice...

Have wrecked my bases a bit already due to going stupid places and hitting a few rocks...repaired ok with Ptex but a little annoying.

Off to Chamonix next month for another week...can't wait.

Are the BG Pro's one of the best of the older boards, or THE Best? Versatile? Just wondering in case I ever see them. I know that the boards are very wide, being 140 at the tip and tail, right?
